Boys roundup: Silverado edges Liberty by 1 point

Juan Salas-Cucalon won two individual events at Municipal on Saturday, and Silverado’s boys swimming team held on to beat Liberty, 123-122.
Salas-Cucalon won the 200 individual medley (2:17.07) and the 100 breaststroke (1:07.44).
Devon Kisfalvi won won the 50 freestyle in 25.30 and the 100 freestyle in 56.16 for the Patriots.
Silverado led by three points entering the 400-yard relay, and despite Liberty winning the event, Silverado teams came in second and third to hold on for the win.
Centennial 177, Clark 116 — At Pavilion, Jackson Larson won the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.44, just 0.25 seconds faster than the second-place swimmer, to help the Bulldogs beat the Chargers.
Mason Earl earned 129.65 points on the 1-meter springboard for the Bulldogs, who swept the relays.
Andy Wang won the 50 freestyle (22.81) and 200 freestyle (1:53.81) for the Chargers.
Bishop Gorman 147, Arbor View 131 — At Pavilion, John Sullivan and Sean Streyle each won a pair of individual events in the Gaels’ victory over the Aggies.
Sullivan touched first in the 50 freestyle (24.22) and 200 freestyle (1:53.02), and Streyle won the 200 individual medley in 2:06.90 and the 500 freestyle in 5:06.71.
Everett Rojas won the 100 butterfly in 55.88, and Caleb Scow won the 100 freestyle in 54.83, the two victories for the Aggies.
Shadow Ridge 159, Faith Lutheran 86 — At Pavilion, Carson Cannon won two events for the Mustangs to power them over the Crusaders.
Cannon won the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.22 and the 200 individual medley in 2:24.27.
Hunter Harbauer won the 200 freestyle (1:55.88) and 100 butterfly (59.93) for the Crusaders.
Palo Verde 205, Legacy 74 — At Pavilion, the Panthers finished in the top three places in three individual events and swept the relays to roll the Longhorns.
Tyler Edlefsen won the 100 freestyle in 49.69, Ahmed Mohamed won the 100 butterfly in 53.88, and Donald McDade won the 500 freestyle in 5:15.31, all events Palo Verde placed swimmers in the top three.
Legacy’s Tama Tuitama won the 200 freestyle (1:45.90) and 100 backstroke (53.70), the only swimmer to win multiple individual events.
Basic 113, Valley 64 — At Multi-Generational, Trevor Williams won the 50 freestyle (24.8) and the 100 freestyle (52.67) to help the Wolves down the Vikings.
Basic’s Jack Foster won the 100 breaststroke (1:11.82) and was second in the 100 freestyle, and teammate Nelson Martinez won the 200 freestyle (2:18.87) and was second in the 50 freestyle.
Valley’s Alexsander Johannesen won the 200 individual medley (2:09.42) and the 100 butterfly (57.75), and teammate Aiden White won the 500 freestyle (5:11.81) and the 100 backstroke (58.98).
Chaparral 80, Desert Pines 63 — At Multi-Generational, Daniel Alvarez won two individual events to lead the Cowboys by the Jaguars.
Alvarez won the 50 freestyle in 25.28 and the 100 backstroke in 1:00.56. Teammate Adam Mirjanian was first in the 100 freestyle (52.68) and second in the 100 backstroke.
Desert Pines’ Jaime Martinez won the 100 breaststroke (1:19.91) and was third in the 50 freestyle.
Tech 197, Del Sol 65 — At Multi-Generational, Durand Farr won two individual events to guide the Roadrunners by the Dragons.
Farr won the 200 individual medley in 2:26.48 and the 500 freestyle in 5:52.72. Teammate Anthony Avalos won the 100 butterfly in 1:07.6 and was second in the 100 backstroke.
Del Sol’s Alexander Bagrensky won the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.31 and was second in the 500 freestyle.
Green Valley 190, Foothill 112 — At Municipal, Matas Maksimaitis won the 50 freestyle in 23.24, 0.04 seconds faster than teammate Hunter Mecham as the Gators beat the Falcons.
Maksimaitis also won the 100 breaststroke (1:06.56), and Mecham won the 100 freestyle (50.97).
Foothill’s Jacob Buckley won the 100 butterfly in 57.16 and the 100 backstroke in 58.25.
Boulder City 202, Eldorado 58 — At Municipal, Ethan Porter, Joseph Purdy and Chandler Larson all won two individual events as the Eagles routed the Sundevils.
Porter won the 100 freestyle in 58.53 and the 500 freestyle in 6:01.53. Purdy touched first in the 100 backstroke in 1:07.37 and the 100 butterfly in 1:04.09. Larson won the 200 freestyle in 2:06.62 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.85.
The Eagles won every event, and grabbed the top three places in the 100 breaststroke and 200 freestyle.
Las Vegas 174, Sunrise Mountain 39 — At Municipal, Siavesh Mirzazadeh and Henry Blackburn each won two individual events as the Wildcats blew by the Miners.
Mirzazadeh won the 100 butterfly (56.00) and the 200 freestyle (1:49.14), and Blackburn won the 100 freestyle (56.64) and 100 breaststroke (1:19.47).
Sierra Vista 134, Durango 57 — At Pavilion, Nikita Nazarov and Ian Cook won two individual events to power the Mountain Lions over the Trailblazers.
Nazarov picked up wins in the 200 individual medley (2:03.19) and the 100 freestyle (51.60), and Cook touched first in the 100 backstroke (59.81) and 200 freestyle (1:59.88).
Joel Israilov won the 500 freestyle (6:41.32) for Durango, and Pio Bragado won the 100 breaststroke (1:21.78).
Spring Valley 159, Mojave 33 — At Pavilion, seven Grizzlies were individual winners as they beat the Rattlers.
Among Spring Valley’s winners was Kyle Dawidian, who beat teammate James Park by 0.06 seconds in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:00.84. Park won the 200 individual medley in 2:14.22.
Mason Claiborne was Mojave’s lone winner, touching first in the 100 backstroke in 1:03.34.
Desert Oasis takes down Bonanza, White Pine
At Pavilion, Arthur Yan dominated in the 200 freestyle to help Desert Oasis beat both Bonanza and White Pine.
Yan finished in 2:20.86, which was 44.67 seconds better than the second-place finisher.
Max Barnett won both the 100 butterfly (59.56) and 200 individual medley (2:01.59) for White Pine.
Desert Oasis was a 131-113 winner over Bonanza, and a 154-25 winner over White Pine.
Coronado sweeps Rancho, Canyon Springs
At Multi-Generational, Mark Beard and Brandon Nellis each won two individual events as Coronado earned wins over Rancho and Canyon Springs.
Beard touched first in the 200 freestyle (2:02.8) and the 100 backstroke (1:07.47). Nellis was first in the 200 individual medley (2:05.35) and the 100 freestyle (49.28).
Coronado’s Spencer Wilkinson won the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.5 and was second in the 100 butterfly.
Coronado was a 217-34 winner over Canyon Springs and a 219-58 winner over Rancho.
