BOYS SWIMMING: Mojave edges Adelson School

Mason Claiborne and Johnny Rodriguez each won two individual events Tuesday as Mojave’s boys swimming team edged Adelson School, 70-69 in a dual meet at Pavilion.
Claiborne won the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 19.31 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 1:07.9, and Rodriguez took the 50 freestyle (27.19) and 100 freestyle (1:04.27) to lead the Rattlers.
Adelson School’s Noah Ferber won the 200 freestyle (2:22.5) and 500 freestyle (6:49.24).
Faith Lutheran 145, Clark 127 — At Pavilion, Brayden Guedry won the 50 freestyle in 23.21 and the 500 freestyle in 5:18.31 to lead the Crusaders by the Chargers.
Keith Lopez won the 200 individual medley (2:26.78) and 100 backstroke (1:03.74) for Clark.
Western 134, Cheyenne 77 — At Pavilion, Nathan Kurashima and Jonathan Pizano each won two events as the Warriors beat the Desert Shields.
Kurashima took the 100 backstroke (1:30.29) and 200 freestyle (3:01.47), and Pizano was first in the 100 breaststroke (1:27.12) and 100 butterfly (1:31.17) for Western.
Cheyenne’s Aidan Nartker won the 200 individual medley (2:20.89) and 50 freestyle (24.96).
Legacy 175, Spring Valley 101 — At Pavilion, Garrett Jones, Tama Tuitama and Tristan Arruti won two events apiece to power the Longhorns by the Grizzlies.
Jones took the 200 freestyle (1:54.28) and 100 freestyle (51.01), and Tuitama won the 100 breasstroke (1:01.3) and 200 individual medley (1:59.09) for Legacy. Arruti was first in the 500 freestyle (5:02.84) and 100 backstroke (1:00.6) for the Longhorns.
Spring Valley’s James Park won the 50 freestyle in 28.41.
Palo Verde 179, Sierra Vista 98 — At Pavilion, Bryce Rogers won the 200 individual medley in 2:04.96 and was second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.07 to help the Panthers rout the Mountain Lions.
Sierra Vista’s Amil Kurtagic won the 100 butterfly (54:97) and 100 freestyle (50.22).
