BOYS SWIMMING: Moore, Rockey send Vikings past Patriots

Joshua Moore and Mitchell Rockey won two individual events apiece Saturday at Multi-Generational to help Valley’s boys swimming team to a 125-112 win over Liberty.

Moore won the 50-yard freestyle in 24.68 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 55.22.

Rockey took the 100 breaststroke in 1 minute, 12.53 seconds and the 500 freestyle in 5:07.9.

Boulder City 149, Coronado 137 — At Multi-Generational, Sam Sauerbrei and Jared Smith each won two events as the Eagles nipped the Cougars.

Sauerbrei took the 200 individual medley in 1:59.01 and the 100 butterfly in 54.18. Smith won the 200 freestyle in 1:46.53 and the 100 backstroke in 52.9.

Cheyenne 108, Desert Pines 68 — At Pavilion, Miguel Barahona, Morgan Thompson and Brice Babcock each won twice as the Desert Shields downed the Jaguars.

Barahona won the 200 freestyle in 2:26.81 and the 50 freestyle in 25.97. Thompson took the 200 individual medley in 2:13.53 and the 100 freestyle in 54.34. Babcock claimed the 100 breaststroke in 1:16.05 and the 500 freestyle in 7:39.57.

Bishop Gorman 139, Arbor View 130 — At Pavilion, Tristan Bunker and Salvador Galvan each won twice as the Gaels edged the Aggies.

Bunker won the 200 individual medley in 2:13.56 and the 100 backstroke in 1:01.89. Galvan captured the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.72 and the 100 freestyle in 53.65.

Canyon Springs 131, Rancho 126 — At Pavilion, Jacob Rendon won two individual events to help the Pioneers edge the Rams.

Rendon took the 100 freestyle in 54.18 and the 200 individual medley in 2:24.27.

The Rams’ Noah Van Rossum was first in the 200 freestyle in 2:20.2 and the 500 freestyle in 6:21.45.

Spring Valley 102, Desert Oasis 73 — At Desert Breeze, Alex Tasaka, Brian Muirhead and Nick Cabalo each won twice to help the Grizzlies down the Diamondbacks.

Tasaka won the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.08 and the 100 freestyle in 1:02.09. Muirhead claimed the 100 butterfly in 1:04.25 and the 100 backstroke in 1:06.41, and Cabalo won the 200 freestyle in 2:00.46 and the 200 individual medley in 2:13.31.

Chaparral 72, Western 38 — At Desert Breeze, Danniel Recinos and Luis Carrillo took two events apiece to help the Cowboys top the Warriors.

Recinos won the 100 freestyle in 56.72 and the 100 backstroke in 1:05.9. Carrillo won the 50 freestyle in 25.78 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.18.

Western’s Halim Koljenovic won the 200 individual medley in 2:13.25 and the 100 butterfly in 1:01.78.

Cimarron-Memorial 143, Sierra Vista 72 — At Desert Breeze, Noah Bachir won two events to help the Spartans down the Mountain Lions.

Bachir won the 200 freestyle in 1:59 and the 500 freestyle in 5:18.28.

Sierra Vista’s Bailey D’Alessio won the 50 freestyle in 23.59 and the 100 backstroke in 1:06.25.

Bonanza 109, Durango 102 — At Pavilion, the Bengals swept the relays and used their depth to hold off the Trailblazers.

Durango’s Nicholas McDowell won the 100 freestyle in 50.09 and the 200 freestyle in 1:49.72, and teammate John Tuss took the 50 freestyle in 24.88 and the 100 backstroke in 1:04.03.

Legacy 151, Clark 105 — At Pavilion, Isaiah Magsino won two events to lead the Longhorns by the Chargers.

Magsino won the 100 butterfly in 54.84 and the 200 individual medley in 1:55.6.

Basic 199, Del Sol 31 — At Multi-Generational, Liam Wetzel won the 50 freestyle (23.37) and 100 freestyle (51.34) as the Wolves dominated the Dragons.

Sunrise Mountain 129, Tech 116 — At Multi-Generational, the Miners won two of three relays to top the Roadrunners.

Tech’s Michael Pecjak won the 100 freestyle (1:04.4) and 100 breaststroke (1:26.96), and teammate Bradley Frakes was first in the 500 freestyle (5:49.13) and 100 backstroke (1:05.4).

Palo Verde 173, Green Valley 112 — At Multi-Generational, Logan Houck won two events to lead the Panthers over the Gators.

Houck was first in the 200 freestyle (1:50.14) and 500 freestyle (4:53.24).

Green Valley’s Connor Smith won the 50 freestyle (22.4) and 100 freestyle (48.93), and teammate Velazquez was first in the 200 individual medley (2:01.84) and 100 breaststroke (1:00.44).

Las Vegas 172, Eldorado 83 — At Multi-Generational, Alec Belcher was first in the 200 individual medley (2:22.96) and 100 freestyle (55.94), and teammate Sam Blackburn won the 50 freestyle (23.46) and 100 breaststroke (1:09.51) as the Wildcats beat the Sundevils.

Foothill 164, Silverado 116 — At Multi-Generational, the Falcons won two of three relays en route to the win over the Skyhawks.

Tyler Worley was first in the 200 individual medley (2:14.35) and 100 backstroke (1:01.31).

Faith Lutheran wins twice

At Pavilion, Michael Fisk won two individual events to help Faith Lutheran sweep Centennial and Shadow Ridge.

The Crusaders were 142-108 winners over Centennial and 132-123 winners over Shadow Ridge. Shadow Ridge topped the Bulldogs, 135-112.

Fisk won the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.49 and the 200 individual medley in 2:10.46.
