BOYS SWIMMING: Tuitama, Jones help Longhorns nip Arbor View

Tama Tuitama and Garrett Jones each won two individual events Saturday at Pavilion to help Legacy’s boys swimming team to a 148-146 win over Arbor View.

Tuitama won the 200-yard freestyle in 1 minute, 46.42 seconds and took the 200 individual medley in 2:00.87.

Jones finished first in the 100 butterfly in 57.68 and the 100 backstroke in 58.97.

Palo Verde 210, Faith Lutheran 94 — At Pavilion, Mihail Amiorkov won two individual events to help the Panthers defeat the Crusaders.

Amiorkov won the 100 butterfly in 53.77 and the 500 freestyle in 4:57.09.

Shadow Ridge 194, Centennial 108 — At Pavilion, Daniel Beck won two individual events to help the Mustangs top the Bulldogs.

Beck won the 100 backstroke in 1:03.13 and the 100 butterfly in 1:03.5.

Bishop Gorman 171, Clark 110 — At Pavilion, Nick Becker won two individual events to help the Gaels down the Chargers.

Becker won the 100 butterfly in 59.82 and the 500 freestyle in 5:06.35.

Clark’s Andy Wang won the 200 individual medley in 2:08.15 and the 100 backstroke in 57.7.

Green Valley 186, Valley 95 — At Multi-Generational, Terry Wright and Benjamin Weber each won one individual event and finished second in another to help the Gators top the Vikings.

Wright won the 100 backstroke in 1:06.15 and was second in the 500 freestyle. Weber took the 100 butterfly in 57.58 and was second in the 100 breaststroke.

Valley’s Arin Sanguansin won the 200 individual medley in 2:06.49 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:02.35.

Basic 180, Chaparral 65 — At Multi-Generational, James Estes took two individual events to guide the Wolves by the Cowboys.

Estes won the 200 individual medley in 2:28.47 and the 100 backstroke in 1:06.55.

Chaparral’s Adam Mirjanian won the 500 freestyle in 5:26.56 and the 50 freestyle in 23.4.

Tech 154, Eldorado 123 — At Multi-Generational, James Nguyen won two individual events to lead the Roadrunners by the Sundevils.

Nguyen took the 50 freestyle in 25.06 and the 100 backstroke in 1:11.35.

Eldorado’s Tyler Harper won the 200 individual medley in 2:24.62 and the 100 freestyle in 57.19.
