Cabalo, Yang lead Spring Valley boys by Mountain Lions

Nicholas Cabalo and Jay Yang each won two individual events Saturday at Desert Breeze to help Spring Valley’s boys swimming team to a 122-110 win over Sierra Vista.

Cabalo won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1 minute, 8.62 seconds and the 200 freestyle in 2:00.34.

Yang took the 100 butterfly in 53.79 and the 100 backstroke in 55.58.

Bishop Gorman 172, Cimarron-Memorial 105 — 
At Desert Breeze, Zack Boudreaux and Tristan Bunker each took two individual events to help the Gaels down the Spartans.

Boudreaux won the 100 freestyle in 53.12 and the 200 freestyle in 2:01.18. Bunker captured the 200 individual medley in 2:12.12 and the 500 freestyle in 5:01.44.

Palo Verde 208, Durango 66 — At Desert Breeze, Luke Trafton, Adam Henley and Logan Houck each won two individual events to pace the Panthers past the Trailblazers.

Trafton won the 200 freestyle (1:55.08) and 500 freestyle (5:11.95). Henley claimed the 100 butterfly (55.5) and the 200 individual medley (2:03.27). Houck took the 50 freestyle (23.58) and 100 freestyle (53.24).

Shadow Ridge 170, Arbor View 130 — At Pavilion, Kyle Murtey and Taylor Kenville each won two events to help the Mustangs top the Aggies.

Murtey won the 200 individual medley (2:27.95) and the 100 butterfly (1:03.92), and Kenville claimed the 50 freestyle (24.86) and the 100 freestyle (57.44).

Centennial 203, Bonanza 53 — At Pavilion, Jeff Lippitt and Michael Salle won two events apiece as the Bulldogs downed the Bengals.

Lippitt won the 50 freestyle in 23.94 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:05.9, and Salle claimed the 200 individual medley in 2:20.48 and the 100 butterfly in 1:03.37.

Legacy 197, Desert Oasis 60 — 
At Pavilion, Patrick Beaty and Garret Jones won twice each to help the Longhorns defeat the Diamondbacks.

Beaty won the 200 individual medley in 2:17.47 and the 500 freestyle in 5:33.35, and Jones captured the 100 freestyle in 53.98 and the 100 backstroke in 1:02.05.

Las Vegas 144, Canyon Springs 126 — At Pavilion, Alec Belcher won the 50 freestyle in 25.23 and the 500 freestyle in 6:07.31 as the Wildcats beat the Pioneers.

Canyon Springs’ Austin Burgueno won the 100 butterfly in 58.65 and the 200 individual medley in 2:24.69.

Clark 168, Faith Lutheran 118 —
At Pavilion, William Wang won the 100 butterfly (57.56) and 100 backstroke (59.9) to lead the Chargers over the Crusaders.

Faith Lutheran’s Bowen Becker was first in the 200 individual medley (2:23.14) and 500 freestyle (5:29.74).

Green Valley 160, Silverado 128 — At Multi-Generational, Michael Velazquez and Carter Friedrich each won twice to lift the Gators by the Skyhawks.

Velazquez took the 100 freestyle (51.37) and the 200 freestyle (1:50.25), and Friedrich won the 100 breaststroke (1:04.4) and the 500 freestyle (5:06.1).

Valley 139, Rancho 137 — At Multi-Generational, Mitchell Rockey won twice as the Vikings nipped the Rams.

Rockey won the 100 butterfly in 58.13 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.86.

Rancho’s Joseph Guthro claimed the 50 freestyle in 24.28 and the 200 individual medley in 2:10.18.

Basic 152, Eldorado 105 — At Multi-Generational, Liam Wetzel won the 50 freestyle (23.3) and 100 backstroke (57.7) to power the Wolves over the Sundevils.

Hubert Hetmanczyk was first in the 200 individual medley (2:30.1) and 100 butterfly (1:04.49) for Basic.

Foothill 220, Liberty 79 — At Multi-Generational, Jacob Ozuna and Daniel Vaughn each won two individual events to lead the Falcons over the Patriots.

Ozuna won the 100 butterfly (1:00.2) and 100 freestyle (54.66), and Vaughn took the 50 freestyle (23.35) and 200 freestyle (1:54.65).

Coronado tops Del Sol, Virgin Valley
At Multi-Generational, Coronado earned a pair of victories, topping Del Sol 205-27 and Virgin Valley 165½-99½.

Nick Moorehead won the 200 freestyle (1:51.09) and 100 backstroke (58.02) for the Cougars, and teammate Jake Chir was first in the 200 individual medley (2:01.19) and 100 breaststroke (1:01.4).

Boulder City, Tech top Miners
At Multi-Generational, Sam Sauerbrei won the 100 butterfly in 54.35 and the 100 backstroke in 58.08 to help Boulder City defeat Sunrise Mountain, 215-50.

Tech was a 126½-86½ winner over the Miners.

Cheyenne tops Mojave, Western
At Pavilion, Morgan Thompson and Cory Harris each won two individual events to lead Cheyenne to wins over Moajve and Western.

The Desert Shields beat Mojave 136-81, and topped Western 116-98.

Thompson was first in the 100 freestyle (56.25) and 100 breaststroke (1:13.97), and Harris won the 500 freestyle (6:31.49) and 100 backstroke (1:13.92).

Jaguars split
At Pavilion, Desert Pines spilt a pair of duals, defeating Moapa Valley 76½-29½, and losing 101-58 to Chaparral.

Kevin Greenhouse won the 100 backstroke (1:18.15) and 200 individual medley (3:02.25) for the Jaguars.

Moapa Valley’s Porter Lamping took the 200 freestyle (2:20.91) and 100 freestyle (1:01.72).
