ROUNDUP: Combs, Sundevil boys hold off Vikings

Montana Combs won the 50-yard freestyle in 26.18 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 59.55 seconds Saturday to help Eldorado’s boys swim team nip Valley, 123-121 at Multi-Generational.

Valley’s Mitchell Rockey claimed the 200 freestyle in 1:53.94 and the 500 freestyle in 5:06.31, and teammate Joshua Moore won the 100 butterfly in 1:05.01 and the 200 individual medley in 2:19.46.

Palo Verde 192, Sierra Vista 67 — At Pavilion, Michael Mortensen, Michael Branch and Logan Houck each won two individual events to help the Panthers top the Mountain Lions.

Mortensen took the 100 freestyle in 54.07 and the 200 freestyle in 1:59.93.

Branch won the 50 (24.98) and 500 freestyles (5:27.03), and Houck claimed the 100 backstroke in 59.72 and the 200 individual medley in 2:08.34.

Boulder City 200, Basic 79 — At Multi-Generational, Joey Gebhart won the 50 freestyle in 23.5 and the 100 backstroke in 54.95 to lead the Eagles past the Wolves.

Coronado 195, Foothill 116 — At Multi-Generational, Jacob Luna, Nick Moorehead and Hans Nossen each won twice as the Cougars downed the Falcons.

Luna took the 200 (1.41.4) and 500 freestyles (4:44.46).

Moorehead won the 50 freestyle in 22.74 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.02, and Nossen captured the 100 butterfly in 55.37 and the 200 individual medley in 2:02.53.

Green Valley 160½, Silverado 95½ — At Multi-Generational, the Gators used their depth to overcome the Skyhawks.

Silverado’s Benjamin Hensel won the 100 butterfly in 55.03 and the 200 individual medley in 2:01.31.

Las Vegas 136, Desert Pines 59 — At Multi-Generational, Seanryan Samia won the 50 (24.66) and 100 freestyles (56.31) to lift the Wildcats past the Jaguars.

Desert Pines’ Guillermo Guevara won the 100 butterfly in 1:11.22 and the 200 individual medley in 2:43.1

Clark 148, Durango 108 — At Pavilion, William Wang won the 50 freestyle (22.96) and 100 backstroke (56.32) to lead the Chargers over the Trailblazers.

Durango’s James Gan placed irst in the 200 individual medley (2:27.67) and 100 breaststroke (1:14.41).

Xiong paces Tech — At Multi-Generational, Gil Carrillo won the 100 butterfly in 1:04.02 and the 500 freestyle in 6:05.09 to lead Tech to a 159-52 win over Liberty. Liberty was a 104-16 winner over Del Sol.

The Dragons’ Jason Xiong won the 200 freestyle in 2:15.58 and the 200 individual medley in 2:43.65.
