ROUNDUP: Desert Oasis boys swim past Sierra Vista

Jose Ramos won the 100-yard backstroke and 200 freestyle to lead Desert Oasis to a 151-80 boys swimming victory over Sierra Vista at Desert Breeze on Saturday.

Ramos won the 100 backstroke in 1 minute, 12.07 seconds and took the 200 freestyle in 2:23.66.

Sierra Vista’s Anton Novikov was first in the 50 freestyle (24.49) and 100 butterfly (1:02.18)

Bonanza 181½, Clark 96½ — At Desert Breeze, Aaron Bame won the 100 backstroke and 100 freestyle to lead the Bengals over the Chargers.

Bame won the backstroke in 1:05.65 and took the freestyle in 55.55.

Bonanza also won all three relays.

Rancho 152, Spring Valley 92 — At Desert Breeze, the Rams won just three events but used their depth to defeat the Grizzlies.

Spring Valley’s Jesse Dwyer won the 500 freestyle (4:57.25) and 100 backstroke (58.26), and teammate Dylan Wolf was first in the 200 freestyle (1:45.35) and 100 butterfly (51.76).

Coronado 175, Silverado 130 — At Multi-Generational, Jacob Luna won the 100 (48.72) and 200 freestyles (1:49.09) to help the Cougars down the Skyhawks.

Del Sol 130, Chaparral 14 — At Multi-Generational, Daniel Cano-Reyes and Cabe St. John each won two events as the Dragons topped the Cowboys.

Cano-Reyes took the 200 freestyle in 2:30.36 and the 100 butterfly in 1:12.87. St. John won the 100 freestyle in 58.57 and the 200 individual medley in 2:32.83.

Moapa Valley 127, Mojave 26 — At Multi-Generational, Wil Sheldon and Bryan McMurray collected two wins apiece as the Pirates defeated the Rattlers.

Sheldon won the 50 freestyle (24.85) and the 100 breaststroke (1:15.56), and McMurray captured the 100 freestyle (1:00.33) and the 200 individual medley (2:35.71).

Palo Verde 180, Arbor View 134 — At Desert Breeze, the Panthers swept the three relay events on their way to victory over the Aggies.

Brian Martinez won the 100 butterfly (51.68) and the 100 backstroke (55.68) for Arbor View.

Cimarron-Memorial 215, The Meadows 8 — At Municipal, Ceasar Stewart, Timothy Schultz and Chang Lin each won two events as the Spartans swam past the Mustangs.

Stewart took the 100 breaststroke (1:21.06) and 200 freestyle (2:35.86). Schultz captured the 100 (1:02.58) and 500 freestyles (6:46.52), and Lin claimed the 50 freestyle (24.2) and 100 butterfly (1:06.72).

Las Vegas 124½, Canyon Springs 90½ — At Municipal, Caleb Cline won the 100 butterfly in 1:03.36 and the 100 backstroke in 1:12.06 to help the Wildcats defeat the Pioneers.

Shadow Ridge 158, Faith Lutheran 137 — At Municipal, Stuart Jacobson captured the 50 freestyle in 23.35 and the 100 butterfly in 55.04 as the Mustangs topped the Crusaders.

Green Valley 223, Bishop Gorman 72 — At Multi-Generational, Robert Hommel and William Meek each collected two wins to help the Gators down the Gaels.

Hommel took the 100 freestyle (47.62) and 100 backstroke (57.09). Meek captured the 50 freestyle (22.7) and 500 freestyle (4:54.03).

Virgin Valley 112, Cheyenne 103 — At Municipal, the Bulldogs took two of three relays to edge the Desert Shields.

Bryce Cole won the 50 freestyle (24.5) and 100 butterfly (1:17.03) for Cheyenne.

Desert Pines 85, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Municipal, the Jaguars rolled as the Miners didn’t enter a single swimmer.

Joseph Pickens won the 100 backstroke (1:22.34) and 100 freestyle (1:08.03) for Desert Pines.

Basic 169, Valley 84 — At UNLV, Travis Taitano and Carlos Guzman won two events apiece to help the Wolves defeat the Vikings.

Taitano won the 50 (23.87) and 100 freestyles (52.03). Guzman captured the 100 butterfly (1:04.64) and the 100 breaststroke (1:11.56).

Boulder City 198, Tech 82 — At UNLV, Andrew Peterson, Dylan Bunch and Jeff Grasso combined for six individual wins and carried the Eagles past the Roadrunners.

Peterson took the 100 (50.53) and 500 freestyles (5:03.05), Bunch claimed the 100 backstroke (59.77) and 200 individual medley (2:10.43), and Grasso captured the 200 freestyle (1:59.48) and 100 breaststroke (1:09.24).

Eldorado 157, Liberty 103 — At UNLV, Eldorado won two of the three relay events and used its depth to hold off the Patriots.

Liberty’s Donald Madson won the 100 backstroke in 1:00.45 and the 200 individual medley in 2:29.22.

Durango 162, Foothill 143 — At Multi-Generational, Rob Eisendrath and Andrew Leslie each collected two wins as the Trailblazers topped the Falcons.

Eisendrath took the 100 freestyle (51.44) and 200 individual medley (2:07.47). Leslie captured the 100 breaststroke (1:06.84) and 100 butterfly (58.9).

Foothill’s Zach Jones won the 50 (23.77) and 200 freestyles (2:03.41).
