Roundup: Durango, Clark sweep boys, girls meets

Pio Bragado won two individual events Wednesday to help Durango’s boys swimming team take an 83-55 decision against Mojave at Adelson School.

Bragado won the 50-meter freestyle in 29.91 seconds and the 100 breaststroke in 1:27.35.

Mojave’s Mason Claiborne won the 200 individual medley in 2:26.51 and the 100 backstroke in 1:14.13.

Clark 172, Adelson School 84 — At Adelson School, Benjamin Blomquist won the 50 freestyle (26.81) and the 400 freestyle (4:46.39) to lead the Chargers over the Lions.

Clark swept the relays, and Thomas Griffiths won the 100 freestyle in 1:13.89 and finished third in the 100 backstroke.

Krish Madhura won the 200 freestyle (2:30.32) and the 100 butterfly (1:20.48) for the Lions, and Benjamin Khavkin won the 100 breaststroke (1:21.64) and the 200 individual medley (2:34.20).

Girls

Clark 172, Adelson School 80 — At Adelson School, Samantha Difulvio and Madeline Young each won two individual events to lead the Chargers by the Lions.

Difulvio won the 50 freestyle in 30.99 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:22.56. Young took the 200 freestyle in 2:26.90 and the 400 freestyle in 5:20.34.

Adelson’s Rebecca Winger won the 100 freestyle in 1:11.59 and was second in the 200 freestyle.

Durango 150, Mojave 62 — At Adelson School, Jan De Leon won two individual events to help the Trailblazers top the Rattlers.

De Leon touched first in the 50 freestyle (31.95) and the 100 freestyle (1:11.12).

Mojave’s Noriah Cook won the 100 butterfly in 1:22.33 and the 100 backstroke in 1:19.52.
