ROUNDUP: Farrell, Gravely help Bulldog boys earn tie with Aggies

Thomas Farrell and Billy Gravely each won two individual events at Pavilion on Saturday to help Centennial’s boys swimming team earn a 138½-138½ tie against Arbor View.

Farrell took the 200-yard freestyle in 2 minutes, 3.22 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 1:03.81.

Gravely claimed the 200 individual medley in 2:03.84 and the 500 freestyle in 5:04.5.

Canyon Springs 154, Desert Pines 89 — At Pavilion, Austin Burgueno and Isiah Magsino each won twice to help the Pioneers top the Jaguars.

Burgueno captured the 100 butterfly in 58.69 and the 200 freestyle in 2:06.28, and Magsino took the 100 freestyle in 51.22 and the 200 individual medley in 2:03.65.

Foothill 225, Liberty 48 — At Multi-Generational, Karl Martinez and Daniel Vaughn each won two individual events to lift the Falcons past the Patriots.

Martinez took the 100 (53.41) and 500 freestyles (5:31.47), and Vaughn claimed the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.12 and the 200 freestyle in 2:01.14.

Rancho 210, Moapa Valley 9 — At Multi-Generational, Kevin Reynolds, Miguel Amaya and Mavrik Thomas each won twice as the Rams swept all 11 contested events.

Reynolds took the 50 (25.84) and 100 freestyles (58.51). Amaya claimed the 200 (2:31.19) and 500 freestyles (6:57.95), and Thomas captured the 100 backstroke in 1:07.47 and the 200 individual medley in 2:38.1.

Virgin Valley 119, Chaparral 34 — At Multi-Generational, Jake Hunter and Nick White took two events apiece as the Bulldogs downed the Cowboys.

Hunter claimed the 200 individual medley in 2:41.65 and the 100 butterfly in 1:15.95. White won the 50 (25.35) and 100 freestyles (59.04).

Palo Verde wins twice — At Pavilion, the Panthers used their depth to post a 186-97 win over Clark and a 156-129 win over Spring Valley.

The Grizzlies’ Brett Beck, Dylan Wolf and Jay Yang each won twice.

Beck took the 100 freestyle in 51.62 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.16. Wolf won the 100 backstroke in 59.28 and the 500 freestyle in 5:01.66. Yang claimed the 100 butterfly in 56.67 and the 200 freestyle in 1:55.87.

Boulder City earns two wins — At Multi-Generational, Dylan Bunch and Joe Gebhart each won twice as Boulder City posted a 184-100 victory over Green Valley and a 194-106 win over Coronado.

Bunch took the 200 (1:45.55) and 500 freestyles (4:39.14), and Gebhart won the 100 freestyle in 48.68 and the 100 backstroke in 54.15.

Coronado’s Jacob Luna won the 50 freestyle in 21.63 and the 100 breaststroke in 58.72.

Bishop Gorman 127, Durango 120 — At Desert Breeze, Tristan Bunker and Ian Sinclair each won two events to lead the Gaels over the Trailblazers.

Bunker won the 200 freestyle (1:56.15) and 500 freestyle (5:26.35), and Sinclair took the 100 freestyle (49.11) and 100 backstroke (57.03).

Desert Oasis 124, Bonanza 70 — At Desert Breeze, Garrett Puet won the 50 freestyle (24.72) and 500 freestyle (5:56.1) as the Diamondbacks downed the Bengals.

Western 78, Sierra Vista 64 — At Desert Breeze, Halim Koljenovic won the 200 individual medley (2:17.69) and 100 breaststroke (1:09.24) to lead the Warriors over the Mountain Lions.

Sunrise Mountain 124, Valley 113 — At Pavilion, the Miners won four events on the way to the victory over the Vikings.

Valley’s Bentley Corbett won the 200 freestyle (2:36.69) and 100 butterfly (1:26.4), and teammate Joshua Moore took first in the 200 individual medley (2:20.22) and 500 freestyle (6:00.7).

Las Vegas 140, Eldorado 131 — At Pavilion, Paulo Ameida won the 200 freestyle (2:14.84) and 100 backstroke (1:09.06) to lead the Wildcats over the Sundevils.

Eldorado’s Diego Falcon won the 200 individual medley (2:22.47) and 100 freestyle (57.16), and teammate Dominik Fiebig won the 50 freestyle (26.06) and 500 freestyle (5:51.62).

Faith Lutheran 205, Mojave 31 — At Pavilion, Bowen Becker and Samuel Taylor each won two events as the Crusaders routed the Rattlers.

Becker won the 200 freestyle (2:07.01) and 50 freestyle (23.41), and Taylor was first in the 100 butterfly (1:09.84) and 100 freestyle (1:01.32).

Cimarron-Memorial 140, Shadow Ridge 137 — At Pavilion, Doug Vanderyde won two events to help the Spartans edge the Mustangs.

Vanderhyde won the 200 freestyle (2:10.58) and 100 freestyle (55.28) for Cimarron.

Shadow Ridge’s Kyle Murtey placed first in the 200 individual medley (2:33.07) and 100 butterfly (1:07.7).
