ROUNDUP: Prestwich, Lin lead Cimarron boys past Diamondbacks

McKay Prestwich and Chang Lin each won two events on Saturday at Pavilion to lead Cimarron-Memorial’s boys swim team to a 163-112 win over Desert Oasis.
Prestwich won the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 15.59 seconds, and took the 100 butterfly in 58.59.
Lin won the 500 freestyle in 5:20.38 and the 100 backstroke in 1:03.06.
Legacy 177, Sierra Vista 72 — At Pavilion, the Longhorns won all three relays to top the Mountain Lions.
Western 91, The Meadows 0 — At Pavilion, Hector Guizar won the 200 freestyle (2:24.7) and 500 freestyle (6:46.32), and Ben Hesse placed first in the 50 freestyle (26.31) and 100 breaststroke (1:14.29) as the Warriors blanked the Mustangs.
Green Valley 239, Durango 36 — At Heritage, Robert Hommel and Jackson Hawkins each won two events as the Gators rolled past the Trailblazers.
Hommel won the 100 backstroke in 53.18 and the 500 freestyle in 4:41.08, and Hawkins took the 100 freestyle in 50.96 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:08.39.
Las Vegas 163, Chaparral 72 — At Heritage, Paulo Almeida won the 100 (57.84) and 500 freestyles (6:14.12) as the Wildcats downed the Cowboys.
Clark 190, Valley 87 — At Heritage, Billy Wang and Vincent Moreau-Alarie won two events apiece as the Chargers topped the Vikings.
Wang took the 100 backstroke in 56.4 and the 200 individual medley in 2:09.51, and Moreau-Alarie claimed the 50 (24.47) and 500 freestyles (6:32.53).
Valley’s Nicholas Freeman won the 100 butterfly in 1:00.39 and the 200 freestyle in 2:07.63.
Coronado 223, Bishop Gorman 34 — At Multi-Generational, Jacob Luna and Brendan Sarnecky each claimed two individual events as the Cougars blitzed the Gaels.
Luna won the 50 freestyle in 22.12 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.12, and Sarnecky took the 100 backstroke in 1:01.84 and the 200 individual medley in 2:13.48.
Gorman’s Ian Sinclair won the 100 (50.74) and 200 freestyles (1:48.22).
Boulder City 206, Arbor View 80 — At Multi-Generational, the Eagles won every event to top the Aggies.
Gunner Braden won the 200 freestyle (1:51.65) and 500 freestyle (4:58.18), Dylan Bunch took the 50 freestyle (24.12) and 100 freestyle (51.65), and William Wright won the 200 individual medley (2:04.26) and 100 breaststroke (1:04.91) for Boulder City.
Rancho 153, Liberty 84 — At Multi-Generational, Raul Zarate, Britton Stankoski and Joseph Guthro each won two events to lead the Rams over the Patriots.
Zarate was first in the 200 individual medley (2:31.37) and 100 butterfly (1:07.7), Stankoski won the 50 freestyle (25.44) and 100 freestyle (1:00.47), and Guthro captured the 500 freestyle (5:48.4) and 100 breaststroke (1:16.22).
Tech 154, Desert Pines 70 — At Pavilion, Garrett Johnson and Gilberto Carrillo each claimed two events as the Roadrunners beat the Jaguars.
Johnson won the 50 freestyle in 27.66 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:22.95, and Carrillo took the 100 (55.8) and 500 freestyles (6:02.25).
Desert Pines 93, Cheyenne 90 — At Pavilion, the Jaguars used their depth to overcome the Desert Shields.
Cheyenne’s Tyler Anderson won the 200 individual medley in 2:47.27 and the 100 backstroke in 1:17.08. The Desert Shields’ Morgan Thompson took the 100 butterfly in 1:10.26 and the 500 freestyle in 6:44.69, and teammate Dylan Thompson claimed the 100 freestyle in 56.4 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:13.09.
