ROUNDUP: Samia paces Las Vegas boys in win over Vikings

Sean Ryan Samia won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.96 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 53.44 on Saturday at Multi-Generational to help Las Vegas’ boys swimming team to a 145-125 win over Valley.

The Vikings’ Mitchell Rockey took the 200 freestyle (1:52.37) and 500 freestyle (5:07.47), and teammate Joshua Moore won the 200 individual medley in 2:21.65 and the 100 butterfly in 1:02.86.

Coronado 169½, Eldorado 84½ — At Multi-Generational, Dale Corey and Jesse Mathews each won two individual events to help the Cougars top the Sundevils.

Corey won the 50 freestyle in 23.62 and the 100 backstroke in 1:02.58, and Mathews claimed the 200 individual medley in 2:11.84 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.53.

Green Valley 160, Rancho 104 — At Multi-Generational, Solomon Shire, Carter Friedrich and Connor Smith each won two individual events as the Gators downed the Rams.

Shire won the 50 freestyle in 23.41 and the 200 freestyle in 2:01.27. Friedrich won the 200 individual medley (2:04.74) and the 100 butterfly (55.68), and Smith captured the 100 freestyle (50.07) and 500 freestyle (5:22.87).

Palo Verde 183, Spring Valley 90—
At Pavilion, Adam Henley took the 50 freestyle in 24.17 and the 100 freestyle in 53.31 to help the Panthers down the Grizzlies.

Spring Valley’s Jay Yang won the 100 breaststroke in 1:01.25 and the 200 individual medley in 1:57.96.

Cimarron-Memorial 149, Bonanza 69 —
At Municipal, Fernando Rubio and Douglas Vanderhyde each won two events to lead the Spartans over the Bengals.

Rubio was first in the 200 freestyle (2:24.58) and 50 freestyle (27.26), and Vanderhyde won the 500 freestyle (6:07.09) and 100 backstroke (1:00.53).

Foothill 206, Basic 99 — At Multi-Generational, Daniel Vaughn won the 100 breaststroke (1:04.27) and 200 individual medley (2:07.7) to power the Falcons over the Wolves.

Basic’s Liam Wetzel was first in the 100 butterfly (56.06) and 500 freestyle (4:53.86)

Boulder City 189, Tech 50 — At Multi-Generational, Adam Peterson and Evan Klouse each won two individual events, and the Eagles swept the relays en route to the win over the Roadrunners.

Peterson won the 200 freestyle (1:51.73) and 500 freestyle (4:52.28). Klouse was first in the 100 freestyle (49.39) and 100 backstroke (57.93).

Liberty 153, Del Sol 34 — At Multi-Generational, Josheua Sta Ana and Raul Ruiz each won twice to help the Patriots beat the Dragons.

Sta Ana was first in the 50 freestyle (27.24) and 100 backstroke (1:14.83), and Ruiz won the 200 freestyle (1:54.82) and 100 backstroke (1:26.05).

Bishop Gorman 175, Desert Oasis 78 —
At Pavilion, Aidan Kennelley, Zack Boudreaux and Tristan Bunker each won twice to lead the Gaels over the Diamondbacks.

Boudreaux won the 50 freestyle (22.69) and 100 freestyle (5.47), Kennelley took the 200 freestyle (2:01.19) and 200 individual medley (2:15.87) and Bunker won the 100 butterfly (55.78) and 100 backstroke (59.55).

Silverado 199, Canyon Springs 98 — At Pavilion, Tyler Worley won the 100 breaststroke (1:11.13) and 500 freestyle (5:29.53) to lead the Skyhawks past the Pioneers.

Legacy 148, Centennial 125  — At Pavilion, Garret Jones won two events as the Longhorns topped the Bulldogs.

Jones was first in the 100 backstroke (1:01.97) and 200 freestyle (2:04.63).

Clark 198, Mojave 47 —
At Pavilion, Vincnt Moreau-Alarie, William Wang and Owen Stewart each won twice as the Chargers routed the Rattlers.

Moreau-Alarie won he 200 freestyle (2:10.31) and 100 freestyle (52.84), Wang took the 100 breaststroke (1:05.22) and 500 freestyle (5:27.91) and Stewart was first in the 200 individual medley (2:38.94) and 100 backstroke (1:10.08).

Sunrise Mountain 149, Desert Pines 39 —
At Municipal, Ricardo Pelayo won the 200 freestyle (2:45.12) and the 100 butterfly (1:44.07) as the Miners downed the Jaguars.

Kevin Greenhouse placed first in 200 individual medley (3:11.31) and the 100 backstroke (1:16.87) for Sunrise Mountain. 

Arbor View 167, Sierra Vista 92 —
At Pavilion, the Aggies beat the Mountain Lions.

Bailey D’Alessio won the 100 breaststroke (1:14.46) and 100 butterfly (1:10.13) for Sierra Vista.

Shadow Ridge 155, Durango 120 —
At Pavilion, the Mustangs won just five individual events, but held off the Trailblazers.

Durango’s Nicholas McDowell was first in the 200 individual medley (2:10.3) and 100 freestyle (52.48).

Chaparral beats Moapa Valley, Virgin Valley
At Municipal, Luis Carrillo finished first in the 200 individual medley with a time of 3:15.22 to power the Cowboys to victories over Moapa Valley and Virgin Valley.

Carrillo also took the top spot in the 100 breaststroke (1:28.38).

Chaparral beat Moapa Valley, 108-89.

Porter Lamping won the 200 freestyle (2:17.78) and the 100 backstroke (1:15.24) for the Pirates. 

The Cowboys defeaed Virgin Valley, 108-54.
