ROUNDUP: Trio launches Grizzlies boys past Trailblazers

J.R. Deem, Brett Beck and Dylan Wolf each won two individual events Saturday to lead Spring Valley’s boys swimming team to a 154-100 win over Durango at Pavilion.
Deem took the 50-yard freestyle in 22.37 seconds and the 200 freestyle in 1:48.25 for the Grizzlies.
Beck captured the 100 backstroke in 54.47 and the 200 individual medley in 2:01.25, and Wolf won the 100 freestyle in 49.16 and the 100 butterfly in 51.97.
Canyon Springs 141, Liberty 103 — At Pavilion, Alejandro Morales and Johnathan Amrhein each won twice to help the Pioneers top the Patriots.
Morales won the 200 individual medley in 2:48.3 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:15.84. Amrhein took the 50 freestyle (26.59) and 100 freestyle (1:02.06).
Liberty’s Josh Whiddon won the 200 freestyle (2:36.1) and 500 freestyle (7:44.4).
Rancho 140, Desert Pines 68 — At Pavilion, the Rams took 11 of the 12 events on their way to a rout of the Jaguars.
Bonanza 142, Sierra Vista 108 — At Pavilion, Sam Wieser claimed the 50 freestyle in 23.11 and the 500 freestyle in 4:59.46 to help the Bengals down the Mountain Lions.
Sierra Vista’s Paris Goodwin won the 100 breaststroke in 1:15.76 and the 200 freestyle in 2:04.75, and teammate Anton Novikov won the 100 butterfly in 57.17 and the 100 backstroke in 1:02.48.
Coronado 177, Desert Oasis 88 — At Pavilion, Jacob Luna, Brendan Sarnecky and Hans Nossen claimed two individual events apiece as the Cougars topped the Diamondbacks.
Luna won the 100 butterfly in 51.52 and the 200 freestyle in 1:45. Sarnecky took the 50 freestyle in 23.08 and the 100 backstroke in 59.37, and Nossen won the 100 breaststroke in 1:03.39 and the 100 freestyle in 51.45.
Green Valley 169½, Palo Verde 135½ — At Pavilion, Thomas Meek and Robert Hommel each claimed two individual events to help the Gators down the Panthers.
Meek won the 100 freestyle in 49.81 and the 100 backstroke in 57.13. Hommel took the 100 butterfly in 51.77 and the 200 individual medley in 1:53.48.
Centennial 195, Shadow Ridge 86 — At Desert Breeze, Billy Gravley, Thomas Farrell and Trevor Pollom took two events apiece to lead the Bulldogs to an easy win over the Mustangs.
Gravley won the 200 (1:49.78) and 500 freestyles (4:52) for Centennial. Farrell captured the 100 butterfly in 1:01.49 and the 100 backstroke in 1:03.96, and Pollom took the 100 freestyle in 53.47 and the 200 individual medley in 2:15.78.
Clark 187, Eldorado 92 — At Desert Breeze, Billy Wang won the 50 freestyle in 22.6 and the 100 backstroke in 1:14.72 as the Chargers won 10 of the 11 contested events and rolled past the Sundevils.
Arbor View 144, Legacy 133 — At Desert Breeze, Marc Belizario finished first in the 100 freestyle in 52.68 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.83 to help the Aggies hold off the Longhorns.
Legacy’s Nicholas Tucker won the 100 butterfly in 57.84 and the 500 freestyle in 5:13.74.
Faith Lutheran 160, Cimarron-Memorial 119 — At Desert Breeze, the Crusaders swept the relay events and used their depth to overcome the Spartans.
Cimarron’s McKay Prestwich won the 100 butterfly in 57.96 and the 100 freestyle in 55.57, and teammate Chang Lin took the 50 freestyle (23.5) and 200 freestyle (2:03.34).
Silverado 156, Foothill 148 — At Multi-Generational, Benjamin Hensel and Cameron Rand each took two events to help the Skyhawks edge the Falcons.
Hensel won the 50 freestyle (23.98) and 200 freestyle (1:54.18). Rand won the 100 breaststroke in 1:09.41 and the 200 individual medley in 2:17.53.
Silverado’s Brandon Stitt used a backstroke the entire race to win the 500 freestyle in 6:07.52.
Boulder City 206, Bishop Gorman 63 — At Multi-Generational, Dylan Bunch and Drew Peterson each won a pair of individual events as the Eagles rolled past the Gaels.
Bunch took the 200 freestyle (1:52.18) and 500 freestyle (4:54.4). Peterson won the 50 freestyle (22.08) and 100 freestyle (48.56).
Valley 130, Las Vegas 120 — At Multi-Generational, Mitchell Rockey, Robert Nagele and Nicholas Freeman combined to win six individual events as the Vikings edged the Wildcats.
Rockey took the 200 freestyle (1:57.33) and 500 freestyle (5:11.36) for Valley. Nagele won the 200 individual medley in 2:27.77 and the 100 butterfly in 59.33, and Freeman won the 50 freestyle (24.27) and 100 freestyle (54.79).
