SWIMMING: Duo helps Virgin Valley boys top Adelson School

Brett Black and Isaac Draskovich each won two individual events Wednesday to help Virgin Valley’s boys swimming team to a 97-78 win at Adelson School.
Black won the 200-meter freestyle in 2 minutes, 46.77 seconds and the 100 backstroke in 1:24.75.
Draskovich took the 100 butterfly in 2:08.3 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:22.57.
Mojave 138, Moapa Valley 28 — At Adelson School, Jarid Ortiz won twice to help the Rattlers down the Pirates.
Ortiz captured the 100 breaststroke in 1:45.19 and the 200 individual medley in 3:34.01.
GIRLS
Virgin Valley 110, Adelson School 91 — At Adelson School, Kennedi Ludvigson won two events as the Bulldogs topped the Lions.
Ludvigson claimed the 200 individual medley in 3:17.48 anf the 100 breaststroke in 1:37.89.
Adelson School’s Camryn Armstrong won the 100 freestyle in 1:15.26 and the 100 backstroke in 1:39.88.
Moapa Valley 106, Mojave 94 — At Adelson School, five different swimmers won one event each to help the Pirates hold off the Rattlers.
