SWIMMING: Wesley Su leads Spring Valley boys past Cheyenne

Wesley Su won the 100-yard breaststroke and was second in the 200 freestyle Thursday to lead Spring Valley’s boys swimming team to a 116-96 win over Cheyenne at Adelson School.

Su finished the 100 breaststroke in 1 minute, 30.6 seconds.

Cheyenne’s Luke Titman won the 400 freestyle (4:59.52) and 50 freestyle (27.29).

Adelson School 67, Cimarron-Memorial 35 — At Adelson School, Noah Ferber won two events to lead the Lions past the Spartans.

Ferber was first in the 200 freestyle (2:23.99) and 400 freestyle (5:21.32). Alex Shmuelevich won the 50 freestyle (27.82) and was second in the 100 freestyle for Adelson School.

Cimarron’s Fernando Cardoza won the 100 freestyle (1:10.02) and 100 breaststroke (1:35.27).

Girls

Adelson School 116, Cimarron-Memorial 77 — At Adelson, Rebecca Winger won two events and was a member of two winning relays to help the Lions down the Spartans in a dual meet.

Winger was first in the 50 freestyle (34.30) and also won the 100 backstroke (1:32.52).

Elizabeth Kac and Noa Klausner each won one event and were second in another for Adelson School.

Cimarron’s Amina Bashir won the 400 freestyle (4:45.46) and the 100 breaststroke (1:26.28).

Spring Valley 120, Cheyenne 36 — Ashlyn Lessenger and Mackenzie O’Mara each won two individual events to help the Grizzlies rout the Desert Shields.

Lessenger won the 200 individual medley (2:35.53) and 100 breaststroke (1:30.27), and O’Mara won the 100 freestyle (1:14.31) and 11 backstroke (1:24.07).

Tallyn Clark won the 50 freestyle (32.59) and 500 freestyle (5:36.36) for Cheyenne.
