Erica Sullivan wins gold at U.S. Open

Las Vegas swimmer Erica Sullivan won the women’s 400-meter freestyle on Thursday at the U.S. Open in East Meadow, New York.

Sullivan, a member of the USA Swimming National Junior team, took the event in 4 minutes, 9.43 seconds. She will represent Team USA at the FINA World Junior Championships in Indianapolis later this month.

Sullivan swam at Palo Verde as a sophomore in 2016 but did not compete for the Panthers this spring.
