GIRLS SWIMMING: Arbor View tops Sierra Vista

Five swimmers won one event apiece to help Arbor View’s girls swimming team post a 193-97 win over Sierra Vista at Pavilion.

The Aggies also won two of the three relays, and had Sierra Kaye win the diving competition with 159.7 points.

Bonanza 148, Cimarron-Memorial 142 — At Pavilion, the Bengals won just four events, but used their depth to overcome the Spartans.

Cimarron’s Cambridge Guerrero won the 100-yard freestyle in 58.97 seconds and the 200 individual medley in 2:22.98, and teammate Amina Bachir claimed the 100 breaststroke in 1:22.86 and the 500 freestyle in 5:46.28.

Palo Verde 197, Spring Valley 88 — At Pavilion, Erin Emery, Izzy Goldsmith and Jackie Parrish won two events apiece as the Panthers topped the Grizzlies.

Emery won the 50 freestyle (26.14) and 100 freestyle (59.87), Goldsmith claimed the 100 butterfly (58.85) and 100 backstroke (1:01.9), and Parrish took the 200 individual medley (2:21.9) and 500 freestyle (5:36.49).

Western 129, Cheyenne 79 — At Pavilion, the Warriors won two of the three relays and had five individuals each take one event to defeat the Desert Shields.

Boulder City vs. Tech — At Multi-Generational, four swimmers won two events apiece to lift the Eagles over the Roadrunners. Team scores were not available.

Cori Molisee won the 100 freestyle (53.37) and 200 freestyle (1:56.73). Mandy Gebhart claimed the 200 individual medley (2:18.24) and 100 backstroke (1:04.62), Natalie Grothe took the 50 freestyle (25.96) and 100 breaststroke (1:14.74), and Abby Sauerbrei won 100 butterfly (1:01.84) and 500 freestyle (5:26.93).

Green Valley vs. Rancho — At Multi-Generational, Brooke Ivey and Deidra Dorough each won two events for Green Valley. Team scores were not available.

Ivey won the 100 butterfly in 1:01.87 and the 200 freestyle in 2:00.67. Dorough claimed the 50 freestyle in 28.01 and the 500 freestyle in 5:32.68.

Coronado vs. Eldorado — At Multi-Generational, Shyla Swan, Sara Gong and Tayler Luna each took two events for Coronado. Team scores were not available.

Swan won the 200 individual medley (2:20.87) and 100 backstroke (1:01.25), Gong claimed the 50 freestyle (25.97) and 100 breaststroke (1:11.5), and Luna took the 100 freestyle (57.69) and 200 freestyle (2:08.14).

Valley vs. Las Vegas — At Multi-Generational, the Wildcats’ April Martinez and the Vikings’ Hadley Mitchell each won two events. Team scores were not available.

Martinez took the 50 freestyle in 26.94 and the 100 backstroke in 1:05.05.

Mitchell won the 200 individual medley in 2:41.76 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:26.09.
