ROUNDUP: Barker helps Gorman girls defeat Clark

Olivia Barker won two events Saturday at Pavilion to help Bishop Gorman’s girls swimming team to a 191-93 victory over Clark.

Barker captured the 200-yard individual medley in 2 minutes, 9.57 seconds and the 100 butterfly in 57.31.

Palo Verde 201, Durango 94 — At Pavilion, the Panthers swept the relays and won six of the nine individual events en route to a victory over the Trailblazers.

Durango’s Evelyn Hernandez took the 100 breaststroke in 1:20.59 and the 100 butterfly in 1:17.87.

Faith Lutheran 178, Cimarron-Memorial 99 — At Pavilion, Morgan Myers and Caitlin Marks each took two events to lead the Crusaders past the Spartans.

Myers won the 100 butterfly in 1:12.25 and the 200 freestyle in 2:26.69. Marks claimed the 100 breaststroke in 1:11.03 and the 500 freestyle in 5:32.56.

Shadow Ridge 198, Mojave 51 — At Pavilion, Sarah Miller won the 50 freestyle in 26.97 and the 200 individual medley in 2:25.88 as the Mustangs topped the Rattlers.

Boulder City 218, Del Sol 35 — At Multi-Generational, Megan Purdy and Cori Molisee each won twice as the Eagles downed the Dragons.

Purdy claimed the 50 (26.15) and 500 freestyles (5:03.16), and Molisee captured the 200 freestyle in 2:17 and the 100 backstroke in 1:07.03.

Silverado 185, Foothill 108 — At Multi-Generational, Soleil Salazar, Kyleigh Brigman and Mallory Harris took two events apiece to lift the Skyhawks past the Falcons.

Salazar won the 100 (1:02.21) and 200 freestyles (2:20.07). Brigman took the 100 backstroke in 1:15.83 and the 500 freestyle in 6:29.49, and Harris claimed the 100 breaststroke in 1:07.93 and the 200 individual medley in 2:17.07.

Las Vegas 174, Chaparral 84 — At Multi-Generational, Beckie Hill won the 100 butterfly in 1:15.76 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:21.63 to lead the Wildcats by the Cowboys.

Chaparral’s Summer Luchsinger won the 50 (25.72) and 500 freestyles (5:41.01), and teammate Santana Garcia took the 100 freestyle in 1:05.46 and the 100 backstroke in 1:20.72.

Coronado sweeps — At Multi-Generational, Nicole Mertel took the 50 (25.62) and 100 freestyles (56.55) to help the Cougars win a pair of dual meets.

Coronado was a 224-61 winner over Basic and a 223-69 victor over Tech.

Sunrise Mountain 129, Desert Pines 89 — At Multi-Generational, the Miners swept the relay events and won five individual events on their way to a win over the Jaguars.

Desert Pines’ Xiomara Barahona claimed the 200 freestyle in 2:50 and the 200 individual medley in 3:04.67.

Rancho 161, Canyon Springs 79 — At Pavilion, Shania Hewett and Dayna Yamaguchi each won twice to help the Rams top the Pioneers.

Hewett took the 200 individual medley in 2:41.28 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:22.09. Yamaguchi captured the 50 (30.01) and 100 freestyles (1:07.41).

Bonanza 116, Western 89 — At Pavilion, Amandalynn Schaeffer and Jordan Crosby took two events apiece as the Bengals downed the Warriors.

Schaeffer claimed the 100 butterfly in 1:27.28 and the 100 backstroke in 1:27. Crosby won the 200 individual medley in 2:35.41 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:23.09.

Western’s Nadira Koljenovic captured the 100 (1:01.72) and 200 freestyles (2:18.87).

Arbor View 222, Cheyenne 64 — At Pavilion, McKayla Ashworth and Rachel Meservey each won twice as the Aggies swam past the Desert Shields.

Ashworth took the 200 (2:31.91) and 500 freestyles (6:56.9). Meservey won the 100 butterfly in 1:15.56 and the 100 backstroke in 1:14.52.

Sierra Vista splits — At Pavilion, Isabella Green won the 50 freestyle in 25.72 and the 100 backstroke in 1:00.69 to help the Mountain Lions split a pair of dual meets.

Sierra Vista was a 132-112 winner over Spring Valley, but dropped a 185-89 decision to Desert Oasis.
