ROUNDUP: Smith, Nava claim two events as Sierra Vista girls edge Durango

Kacey Smith and Anamey Nava each won two events on Saturday to lead Sierra Vista’s girls swim team to a 128-124 win over Durango at Municipal.

Smith won the 200-yard freestyle (2 minutes, 3.71 seconds) and 50 freestyle (26.63). Nava was first in the 500 freestyle (5:36.71) and 100 breaststroke (1:18.0).

Sierra Vista also won two of the three relays.

Durango’s Lauren Dartois finished first in the 200 individual medley (2:30.22) and 100 butterfly (1:09.06).

Green Valley 172, Boulder City 121 — At Heritage, Carly Oswald took the 50 (26.62) and 500 freestyle (5:25.07) events, and the Gators used their depth to overcome the Eagles.

Kelsey Thompson captured the 200 freestyle (2:07.49) and 100 backstroke (1:05.65) for the Eagles, and teammate Megan Purdy won the 200 individual medley (2:10.62) and the 100 butterfly (59.12) as each school won six events.

Foothill 196, Liberty 85 — At Heritage, Jennifer Schulte, Aubrielle Westover and Andrea Ranta each won two individual events to power the Falcons past the Patriots.

Schulte won the 50 freestyle (29.10) and 100 breaststroke (1:22.01) for the Falcons. Westover took the 200 freestyle (2:21.11) and 100 butterfly (1:18.62), and Ranta captured the 500 freestyle (7:43.48) and 100 backstroke (1:27.08).

Basic 173, Tech 88 — At Heritage, Brianna Kyff and Mallory Porter each posted a pair of individual victories as the Wolves swam past the Roadrunners.

Kyff won the 100 butterfly (1:18.72) and 200 individual medley (2:46.47). Porter took the 200 (2:28.27) and 500 freestyles (6:56.91).

Bonanza 211, Desert Oasis 95 — At Municipal, the Bengals swept the relays en route to an easy win over the Diamondbacks.

Desert Oasis’ Sarah Rosenfeld won the 200 individual medley (2:47.98) and 500 freestyle (6:37.18).

Spring Valley 151, Clark 107 — At Muncipal, the Grizzlies swept the relays to down the Chargers.

Annie Lippitt won the 200 freestyle (2:29.12), Monica Mejia won the 100 butterfly (1:22.65), and Courtney Conway was first in the 100 freestyle (1:11.7) to lead Spring Valley.

Clark’s Sharon Fang won the 200 IM (2:47.5) and 100 backstroke (1:17.52).

Coronado 237, Del Sol 61 — At Multi-Generational, the Cougars won all but one event in a rout of the Dragons.

Alix Mertel won the 200 freestyle (2:04.23) and 100 butterfly (1:03.62), and Nicole Mertel won the 200 IM (2:19.53) and 100 freestyle (59.02) to lead Coronado.

Silverado 213, Sunrise Mountain 40 — At Multi-Generational, Taylor Tuttle, Mako Honoso and Mallory Harris each won two events as the Skyhawks cruised past the Miners.

Tuttle won the 200 freestyle (1:19.1) and 100 freestyle (1:19.1), Honoso took the 200 individual medley (2:24.53) and 100 breaststroke (1:20.87), and Harris was first in the 100 butterfly (1:02.11) and 500 freestyle (5:33.31).

Arbor View 175, Shadow Ridge 130 — At Desert Breeze, the Aggies won just four events, but used their depth to overtake the Mustangs.

Linsey Tschetter won the 200 freestyle (2:28.81), McKenzie Watkins won in diving (161.2 points), and Dafne Vargas won the 100 breaststroke (1:29.06) for Arbor View, which also won the 400 freestyle relay.

Shadow Ridge’s Kaytee Garcia, Sarah Miller and Kimberly Bergo each won two events.

Garcia won the 200 individual medley (2:21.68) and 50 freestyle (27.22), Miller won the 100 butterfly (1:03.81) and 500 freestyle (5:40.68), and Bergo was first in the 100 backstroke (1:14.42) and 100 freestyle (1:03.53).

Centennial 191, Cimarron-Memorial 99 — At Desert Breeze, Kristin Hepner won the 50 freestyle (28.5) and 100 freestyle (1:01.33) and the Bulldogs swept the relays to down the Spartans.

Cimarron’s Amanda Guerrero won the 100 butterfly (1:04.12) and 100 breaststroke (1:10.38), and teammate Tzu Lin was first in the 200 individual medley (2:23.33) and 100 backstroke (1:05.01).

Faith Lutheran 151, Legacy 106 — At Desert Breeze, Caitlin Marks won the 100 butterfly (1:10.17) and 500 freestyle (5:47.34) to lead the Crusaders past the Longhorns.

Legacy’s Shannon Laidlaw placed first in the 100 backstroke (1:13.44) and 100 freestyle (1:03.06).

Palo Verde 146, Bishop Gorman 140 — At Desert Breeze, Alexis Mayhall won the 200 individual medley (2:16.14) and 100 backstroke (1:00.79) to help the Panthers edge the Gaels.

Gorman’s Olivia Barker, Lindsey Englestead and Meghan Boland each won two events.

Barker won the 200 freestyle (1:58.69) and 50 freestyle (25.22), Englestead was first in the 100 freestyle (56.91) and 100 breaststroke (1:09.41), and Boland won the 100 butterfly (1:05.37) and 500 freestyle (5:18.16).

Canyon Springs 135, Chaparral 83 — At Multi-Generational, Cindy Burdasch won the 100 free (1:14.99) and 100 breaststroke (1:24.06) to lead the Pioneers past the Cowboys.

Chaparral’s Andrea Garcia won the 500 free (6:28.44) and 100 backstroke (1:16.46).
