BOYS TENNIS: Chargers open season by topping Pirates

Chaitanya Ingle, Andrew Lim and Michael Pasimio all went 2-0 in singles as Clark’s boys tennis team began its season Friday with a 13-5 win at Moapa Valley.

Kirby May and Riley Limon went 2-0 in doubles for the Pirates.

Faith Lutheran 14, Chaparral 4 — At Chaparral, Jack Stevens and Mario Stadtlander each went 2-0 in singles as the Crusaders topped the Cowboys.

Tyler Crone was 3-0 in singles for Chaparral.

Palo Verde 16, Centennial 2 — At Centennial, Conor Safbom was 2-0 in singles as the Panthers routed the Bulldogs.

Teijiro Nishimura and Brandon Sulzberg went 2-0 in doubles for Palo Verde.

Sierra Vista 12, Boulder City 6 — At Boulder City, Kayvaan Adrangi went 3-0 in singles to lead the Mountain Lions past the Eagles.

Boulder City’s Andre Pappas was 2-1 in singles, and Jacob Harrison and Eric Gros were 2-1 in doubles for the Eagles.

Arbor View 17, Legacy 1 — At Arbor View, Nevin Ly, Alec Cline and Ashton Arizmendez each went 3-0 in singles as the Aggies rolled over the Longhorns.

Travis Norland and Dustin Leavitt went 2-0 in doubles for Arbor View.

The Meadows 17, Virgin Valley 1 — At Mesquite, the Mustangs rolled by the Bulldogs.

Tech 12, Spring Valley 0 — At Tech, the Roadrunners won by forfeit.

Desert Pines 12, Cheyenne 0 — At Desert Pines, the Jaguars won by forfeit.

Liberty 12, Durango 0 — At Liberty, the Patriots won by forfeit.

Shadow Ridge vs. Canyon Springs — At Canyon Springs, both the Mustangs and the Pioneers forfeited as neither team had the requisite six players.

Western vs. Sunrise Mountain — At Sunrise Mountain, both the Warriors and the Miners forfeited as neither team had the requisite six players.
