BOYS TENNIS: Davidson, Sholeff help Gaels top Desert Oasis in Sunset semis

Skylar Davidson and Sam Sholeff went 3-0 in doubles on Thursday to help Bishop Gorman's boys tennis team to a 13-5 win over visiting Desert Oasis in a Sunset Region semifinal.

Aaron Bailey and Daniel Kinas each went 2-1 in singles for the Gaels (12-0), who will face Palo Verde (9-2) in the region final at 3 p.m. Friday at Darling Tennis Center.

Ben Gajardo was 3-0 in singles for Desert Oasis (7-3).

Palo Verde 15, Centennial 3 — At Centennial, Dylan Levitt and Ethan Ballard each went 2-0 in singles as the Panthers rolled by the Bulldogs.

Mike Safbom and Sam Soderborg were 2-0 in doubles for Palo Verde.

Raul Saucedo was 2-1 in singles for Centennial (9-2).

SUNRISE REGION

Coronado 15, Liberty 3 — At Liberty, Ryland McDemott went 3-0 in singles to help the Cougars top the Patriots (8-3) in a Sunrise Region semifinal.

Coronado (10-2) will face Green Valley (11-1) in the region final at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Darling Tennis Center.

Green Valley 11, Foothill 7 — At Green Valley, Mackay Boman was 3-0 in singles to help the Gators down the Falcons (10-4).

Jack Johnson and John John were 3-0 in doubles, and Ryan Elezera and Brandon Farber went 2-0 in doubles for Green Valley.

I-A SOUTHERN REGION

The Meadows 12, Moapa Valley 6 — At Overton, Alex Lanzkowsky and Nathaniel Van der Post each went 3-0 in singles as the Mustangs topped the Pirates in a Division I-A Southern Region final.

The Meadows (9-2) will face Clark (12-0) in the region final at 8 a.m. Friday at Darling Tennis Center.

Koby Frei and Andy Beckstrand finished 3-0 in doubles for Moapa Valley (9-2).

Clark 12, Faith Lutheran 6 — At Clark, Michael Pasimio went 3-0 in singles to lead the Chargers past the Crusaders (11-4).
