BOYS TENNIS: Doubles team leads Faith Lutheran by Legacy

Faith Lutheran’s doubles team of Donovan Evangelio and Ryan Brooks went 2-0 to help the Crusaders boys tennis team to an 11-7 win at Legacy on Tuesday.

Maxwell Blum was 2-0 in singles, and teammate Michael Markantonis went 2-1 in singles for Faith Lutheran.

Erik Barranca was 2-1 in singles for Legacy.

The Crusaders will be the Northwest League’s No. 3 seed for the upcoming Sunset Region tournament. Legacy will play at Arbor View at 3 p.m. Wednesday for the league’s final playoff berth.

Centennial 14, Arbor View 4 — At Centennial, Raul Saucedo, Justin Madsen and Tristan Valles each went 2-0 in singles to lead the Bulldogs past the Aggies.

The doubles teams of Benjamin Siegel and Chase Kleinman, and Porter Hunter and Kade Frischknecht also went 2-0 for Centennial.

Brenden Wagner and Treven Clizbe went 2-0 in doubles for Arbor View.

Durango 12, Eldorado 6 — At Eldorado, Filip Bosnajak and Jovan Lubara each went 2-0 in singles as the Trailblazers topped the Sundevils.

Justine-John Lorenzo and Benjamin Platerio finished 3-0 in doubles for Durango.

Jordan Eldred and Miguel Rodriguez went 2-1 in doubles for Eldorado.

Foothill 14, Basic 4 — At Foothill, Jacob Woodworth was 2-0 in singles as the Falcons downed the Wolves.

Thomas Romero was 3-0 in singles for Basic.

Coronado 16, Liberty 2 — At Liberty, Sebastian Frace and Ethan Quandt went 2-0 in doubles play as the Cougars routed the Patriots.

Palo Verde 18, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Palo Verde, Jack Kostrinksy and Willy Wu each went 2-0 in singles as the Panthers blanked the Mustangs.

Brandon Sulzberg and Noah Brandt finished 2-0 in doubles for Palo Verde.

Sierra Vista 12, Rancho 6 — At Sierra Vista, Aleksander Bolta went 3-0 in singles to help the Mountain Lions top the Rams.

Rahul Gupte and Ryan McCoy each went 2-0 in singles, and the doubles team of Tyler Sunstrum and Raymond Dang was 2-0 for Sierra Vista.

The doubles teams of Ojas Sali and Luis Moreno-Arias, and Andrew Alves and Anjana Dissanayaka each went 2-1 for Rancho.

Virgin Valley 12, Tech 6 — At Mesquite, Chris Cannon and Isaac Talahytewa each went 3-0 in singles as the Bulldogs defeated the Roadrunners.

Tyson Wilson and Ryan Rushton finished 3-0 in doubles for Virgin Valley.

The Meadows 16, Adelson School 2 — At Adelson School, Abhay Nayyar and Ethan Lee each went 2-0 in singles as the Mustangs downed the Lions.

Green Valley 12, Silverado 6 — At Green Valley, the Gators took down the Skyhawks.

Mojave 12, Cheyenne 0 — At Mojave, the Rattlers defeated the Desert Shields by forfeit.

Sunrise Mountain vs. Western — At Western, the match ended in a double forfeit.
