BOYS TENNIS: Durkin, Siegle help Bulldogs edge Bengals

Chet Durkin and Noah Siegle each went 2-0 in singles Thursday to help Centennial’s boys tennis team to a 10-8 win over visiting Bonanza.

The Bulldogs’ doubles teams of Ricky Koplow and Parker McDonough, Dallan Johnson and Dakota Trombley, and Alex Nicoll and Allen Fleegle all went 2-0.

Bonanza’s Alec Taylor was 2-1 in singles, and the doubles team of Jacob Mabey and Andy Stephenson was 2-1 for the Bengals.

Basic 10, Eldorado 8 — At Basic, Evan Yeager and Tyler McCoy went 2-0 in doubles to lead the Wolves past the Sundevils.

Basic’s Logan Green went 2-1 in singles.

Trevor Swain was 3-0 in singles for Eldorado.

Shadow Ridge 11, Sierra Vista 7 — At Shadow Ridge, Jonathan Reaves and Quinton Payne went 3-0 in doubles to help the Mustangs top the Mountain Lions.

Mark Strauska was 3-0 in singles for Sierra Vista.

The Mustangs also rallied from a 9-6 deficit to beat Sierra Vista, 10-9 in the conclusion of a match that was suspended by rain on Sept. 11. Each team won three of six tiebreaker games, but Shadow Ridge edged the Mountain Lions, 31-30, in the tiebreaker to earn the win.

Spring Valley 12, Arbor View 6 — At Spring Valley, Eric Clark and Dominic Morimando each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Grizzlies by the Aggies.

Coronado 12, Foothill 6 — At Foothill, Cassell King was 3-0 in singles to lead the Cougars past the Falcons.

Kian Habashi and Martin Rizov went 3-0 in doubles for Coronado.

Green Valley 12, Silverado 6 — At Silverado, Amar Shah went 3-0 in singles, and the doubles team Jarrett Perns and Jarod Penniman also went 3-0 to lead the Gators to victory over the Skyhawks.

Mackay Boman was 2-0 in singles for Green Valley.

Silverado’s Matt Slick and Darren Quinton finished 2-1 in doubles.

Las Vegas 16, Rancho 2 — At Rancho, Jeremiah Garcia went 3-0 in singles as the Wildcats rolled over the Rams.

T.J. Esporsa went 2-0 in singles for Las Vegas. Paul Swenson and Shean Brunner went 2-0 in doubles, and teammates Kyle Monton and Trey Chauncey went 2-1 in doubles for the Wildcats.

Tyler Gehrig and Abel Edossa went 2-1 in doubles for the Rams.

Palo Verde 14, Durango 4 — At Palo Verde, Rhett Bossung wwas nt 2-0 in singles, and the doubles team of Kota Cook and Brandon Sulzberg went 2-0 to lead the Panthers over the Trailblazers.

Bishop Gorman 14, Cimarron-Memorial 4 — At Gorman, Conner Pensivy and Ian Dobberstein went 2-0 in doubles to lead the Gaels past the Spartans.

Brady Osborne was 2-1 in singles for Cimarron.

Liberty 12, Del Sol 6 — At Liberty, Dylan Ihmels was 3-0 in singles to lead the Patriots to a win over the Dragons.

The Meadows 12, Western 0 — At Western, the Mustangs won by forfeit.

Faith Lutheran 12, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, the Crusaders won by forfeit.

Valley 12, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, the Vikings won by forfeit.
