BOYS TENNIS: Late surge helps Sundevils edge Dragons

Trevor Swain and Jacob Sedillo each finished 3-0 in singles Friday, and Eldorado’s boys tennis team won the final two matches to pull out a 10-8 victory at Del Sol.

Jonathon Hart and Alex Walker went 3-0, and Mike DeLeon and Danny Miller went 2-1 in doubles for the Dragons.

Durango 12, Sierra Vista 6 — At Sierra Vista, the Trailblazers swept all nine doubles sets to knock off the Mountain Lions.

The teams of Mitchell Pate and Nikola Zelenovic, Sergio Fernandez and Christian Pascua, and Matthew Ang and Jonathan Dai all finished 3-0 for Durango.

Sierra Vista’s Mark Strauska and Kayvaan Adrangi went 3-0 in singles.

Las Vegas 11, Valley 7 — At Las Vegas, Evan Kindard and Shayne Marquez went 3-0 in doubles to help the Wildcats slip past the Vikings.

Jeremiah Garcia was 2-0 in singles for Las Vegas, and teammates Kevin Fedde and T.J. Esporsa finished 2-1 in singles.

Valley’s David Delaney went 3-0 in singles.

Silverado 10, Rancho 7 — At Rancho, Brett Willis and Levi Schleuning went 3-0 in singles as the Skyhawks defeated the Rams.

Jacob Van Laeken and Lawson Borla finished 3-0 in doubles for Silverado.

Rancho’s Tyler Gehrig and Abel Edossa were 2-1 in doubles.

Coronado 16, Liberty 2 — At Coronado, Cassell King went 2-0 in singles to lead the Cougars by the Patriots.

Coronado’s doubles teams of Jack Vance and Jamie Vance, and Aaron Egbert and Sam Grant both went 2-0.

Liberty’s Dylan Ihmels was 2-1 in singles.

Virgin Valley 13, Chaparral 5 — At Chaparral, the Bulldogs cruised past the Cowboys.

Tyler Crone and Brandon Scott were 2-1 in doubles for Chaparral.

Palo Verde 17, Arbor View 1 — At Palo Verde, Rhett Bossung and Zack Surmacz each went 2-0 in singles to help the Panthers rout the Aggies.

Brandon Sulzberg and Conor Safbom were 2-0 in doubles for Palo Verde.

Spring Valley 13, Shadow Ridge 5 — At Shadow Ridge, Dominic Morimando went 3-0 in singles to help the Grizzlies down the Mustangs.

Tech 16, Sunrise Mountain 2 — At Tech, Christian Valle was 3-0 in singles as the Roadrunners dropped the Miners.

Moapa Valley 12, Boulder City 0 — At Boulder City, the Pirates won by forfeit.

Green Valley 12, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, the Gators won by forfeit.
