BOYS TENNIS: Thomas Romero wins all three matches to carry Green Valley over Basic

Thomas Romero went 3-0 in singles to power Green Valley’s boys tennis team to an 11-7 road victory over Basic on Friday.
Green Valley’s doubles team of Carter Gehlkin and Matt Uran also went 3-0.
Legacy 11, Arbor View 7 — At Arbor View, Willie Valdez-Grijalva and Erik Barranca each finished 3-0 in singles as the Longhorns downed the Aggies.
Liberty 12, Silverado 6 — At Silverado, Kevin Blomquist carried the Patriots past the Skyhawks with a 3-0 day in singles.
Silverado’s doubles team of Constandinos Pappas and Jakob Winders went 3-0, and teammate Seth Forstner went 2-1 in singles.
Cimarron-Memorial 11, Shadow Ridge 7 — At Shadow Ridge, Eric Forbush finished 3-0 in singles to lift the Spartans over the Mustangs.
The doubles team of Cameron Stafford and Chance Underwood finished 2-0 for the Spartans.
Coronado 16, Foothill 2 — At Coronado, the doubles team of Ethan Quandt and Sebastian Frace went 3-0 to send the Cougars by the Falcons.
Jonah Blake went 2-0 in singles for Coronado.
Desert Pines 12, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Jaguars won by forfeit.
The Meadows 12, Western 0 — At Darling Tennis Center, the Mustangs won by forfeit.
