Cimarron teams sweep Northwest Doubles

Cimarron-Memorial’s tennis teams swept the titles at the Northwest Doubles Tournament championships on their home courts Saturday.
The Spartans’ Pablo Osorio and Jonas Wellan won the boys title, beating Faith Lutheran’s Jake Benowitz and Sam Taylor, 6-2, 6-4.
In the girls title match Cimarron’s Stephanie Kaplan and Solena Mednicoff rallied from set down to beat fellow Spartans Starlyn Thomas and Carrie Sheehan, 6-7(5), 6-1, 7-6(8) in match that lasted longer than two hours.
In a boys consolation match, Legacy’s Kevin Noorda and Keith Noorda downed Arbor View’s Jon Lester and Tyler Seppala, 6-2, 6-3.
