Several athletic events today and Wednesday involving Moapa Valley and Virgin Valley have been postponed because of the closure of Interstate 15 northeast of Las Vegas.
Rain forced the postponement of all of Monday’s slate of tennis matches in Southern Nevada.
The doubles teams of Mike Fiscus and Damon Phillips, and Jonah Grepke and Quinn O’Sullivan both went 1-0 Saturday to help Faith Lutheran’s boys tennis team to an 11-7 win over Bonanza at Durango.
Sydnie Roberts and Vivien Ross went 3-0 in doubles Friday, and Cimarron-Memorial’s girls tennis team won four of six tiebreaker games to nip visiting Las Vegas, 10-9.
Kayvaan Adrangi and Kelyon Jaku each went 3-0 in singles Thursday to help Sierra Vista’s boys tennis team to a 14-4 home win over Adelson School.
