Rain postpones region tennis quarterfinals

Rain postponed quarterfinal action in the region tennis tournaments on Friday.

Only the Division I-A Southern Region girls and doubles matches got under way at the Darling Tennis Center, but rained forced all eight matches to be halted and the rest of the day's schedule to be washed out.

All quarterfinals were moved to Saturday with all girls matches staying at Darling Tennis Center and all boys matches scheduled to be played at Bishop Gorman. The Sunset Region quarterfinals will be played at 8 a.m. at both sites, with the Southern Region to follow at 10 a.m. and the Sunrise Region to play at noon.

The semifinals in all regions have been moved to Monday at Darling Tennis Center, and each region will play semifinals and finals on Monday.

The Southern Region is scheduled to play its semifinals at 8 a.m. and its finals at 2 p.m. Monday.

The Sunrise Region will play its semifinals at 10 a.m. and its finals at 4 p.m., and the Sunset Region will have semifinals at noon and finals at 6 p.m.
