ROUNDUP: Barnhurst, Stoneback team to help Eldorado hold off Valley boys

Joey Barnhurst and Seattle Stoneback went 3-0 in doubles, and Alan Ibarra was 2-1 in singles Wednesday to help Eldorado’s boys tennis team hold off visiting Valley, 10-8.

Dakota Shultz and David Decker went 2-1 in doubles for the Sundevils.

David Delaney was 3-0 in singles, and Lorenzo Capannolo and Michael Coppedge went 2-1 in doubles for the Vikings.

Virgin Valley 14, Desert Pines 4 — At Virgin Valley, Kadan Atkin went 3-0 in singles as the Bulldogs rolled past the Jaguars.

Nate Hughes and Jacob Mikkelsen went 3-0 in doubles for Virgin Valley.

The Meadows 14, Adelson School 1 — At The Meadows, Evan Roth went 3-0 in singles as the Mustangs downed the Lions in a match shortened by rain.

The doubles teams of Peter Sklamberg and Parker Bram, and Adam Sklamberg and Michael Chan each went 3-0 for The Meadows.

Mario Gamboa was 2-0 in singles, and Luke Artisa and Elliot Kwan went 2-0 in doubles for the Mustangs.

Moapa Valley 16, Sunrise Mountain 2 — At Overton, Kade Bryant went 3-0 in singles, and Skyler Hill and Justin Boren were 2-0 in doubles as the Pirates beat the Miners.

Brennen Foster was 2-0 in singles for Moapa Valley.

Clark 14, Mojave 4 — At Clark, the Chargers rolled past the Rattlers.

Arbor View 12, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, the Aggies won by forfeit.

Cheyenne vs. Western — At Cheyenne, both teams forfeited due to a lack of players.

Tech vs. Boulder City — At Boulder City, rain forced the postponement of the Eagles’ match against the Roadrunners. A makeup date has not been determined.

Durango vs. Coronado — At Coronado, rain forced the cancellation of the Cougars’ match against the Trailblazers. The teams completed the first round before heavy rain halted the match.

GIRLS

Eldorado 10, Valley 8 — At Eldorado, Yoli Carrillo and Dora Carrillo went 3-0 in doubles as the Sundevils nipped the Vikings.

Yunuen Cuicas was 2-1 in singles, and the doubles teams of Jasmine Sanchez and Kerrigan Holman, and Shyanne Dase and Kendra Dennis both went 2-1 for Eldorado.

Brooke Harding was 3-0 in singles, and Jolie Catz was 2-1 in singles for Valley.

Desert Pines 14, Virgin Valley 4 — At Mesquite, Karina Campos went 3-0 in singles as the Jaguars downed the Bulldogs.

Mekham Singkhamta and Ashley Palacios went 3-0 in doubles for Desert Pines.

Moapa Valley 11, Sunrise Mountain 7 — At Overton, Jennessa Gates went 2-1 in singles to help the Pirates get past the Miners.

Irene Caton was 3-0 in singles for Sunrise Mountain.
