ROUNDUP: Bonanza boys breeze past Coronado

Bonanza’s Tommy Lettero and Brendan Aguilar each went 3-0 in singles, and three Bengals doubles teams went 2-0 in a 15-3 victory over visiting Coronado in boys tennis Tuesday.

The teams of Laurent Gontier-Shawn Lettero, Andrew Whiting-John Grady and Aashish Daulatt-Scott Davis each went 2-0 for the Bengals.

Eldorado 10, Shadow Ridge 9 — At Eldorado, the Sundevils edged the Mustangs on a tiebreaker.

The teams tied at 9-9, and each won three tiebreakers, but Eldorado won more points in the tiebreakers.

Eldorado’s Dalton Carpenello and James Sernas were 3-0 in doubles, as were teammates Kaiden Shakespear and Jacob Martinez.
Shadow Ridge’s Jeff Elmer was 3-0 in singles.

Basic 11, Las Vegas 7 — At Basic, Mike Feher and David Romero each went 3-0 in singles to help the Wolves beat the Wildcats.

Canyon Springs 10, Del Sol 6— At Canyon Springs, Josh Jones and Ishmael Gibson were both 3-0 in singles and Albert Kwong and Daniel Quintana went 2-1 in doubles to lead the Pioneers to the season-opening win.

Del Sol’s Anthony Gugino and William Harrison went 3-0 in doubles.

Spring Valley 7, Cheyenne 6 — At Cheyenne, Joe Miceli was 3-0 in singles as the Grizzlies edged the Desert Shields.
Neither school had a full team for Tuesday’s opener.

Morgan Sandberg and P.J. Lacomb went 2-0 in doubles for Cheyenne.

Centennial 16, Durango 2 — At Centennial, Travis Beck was 3-0 in singles to help the Bulldogs defeat the Trailblazers.

The doubles teams of Tyler Rogers-Josh Arias, Kyle Johnson-Tyler Gietgen and Patrick Bolton-Brandon Fish each went 2-0 for Centennial.

Silverado 11, Cimarron-Memorial 7 — At Silverado, Dillon McNamara was 2-0 in singles to lead the Skyhawks over the Spartans.

Jenner Tatz and Matthew Mabida went 3-0 in doubles for Cimarron.

Bishop Gorman 14, The Meadows 4 — At The Meadows, the doubles teams of Alec Thomas-Kyle Del Rosario and Diego Gutierrez-Ryan Hidajat both went 2-0 to help the Gaels beat the Mustangs.

Tyler Tucky went 2-1 in singles for Gorman.

Liberty 14, Valley 4 — At Liberty, Chrys Castro was 3-0 in singles and Cyrus Wongwui and Marcelo Rico went 2-0 in doubles as the Patriots downed the Vikings.

Moapa Valley 10, Tech 8 — At Moapa Valley, the Pirates edged the Roadrunners with 2-1 doubles showings from Camden Stratton and Kevin Bessey, Austin Eckenstam and Jared Dimmick, and Sterling Waite and Matthew Hastings.

Foothill 12, Sierra Vista 6 — At Foothill, John Qualls was 3-0 in singles and Danny Dion and Kevin Dion went 2-0 in doubles to lead the Falcons to victory.

Sierra Vista’s Zac Wardle went 2-1 in singles and Mark Anthony and Ray Chua were 2-1 in doubles.

Legacy 11, Desert Pines 7 — At Legacy, Keith Norda and Kevin Norda went 3-0 in doubles to lead the Longhorns over the Pioneers.

Legacy’s Anthony Moceo was 2-0 in singles.

Desert Pines’ Andrew Paganelli was 3-0 in singles.

Rancho 7, Desert Oasis 1 — At Rancho, Luis Delgadillo went 2-0 in singles to help lift the Rams past the Diamondbacks.

Rancho’s doubles teams of Kamran Baig-Spencer Keane and Timothy Wong-George Henriquez both went 2-0.

Western 8, Mojave 1 — At Western, Brian Marshall was 3-0 in singles as the Warriors beat the Rattlers.

Jacob Hanson and Brad Hesse each went 2-0 in singles for Western.

Neither team had a full nine-player roster.

Boulder City 11, Chaparral 7 — At Chaparral, the Eagles defeated the Cowboys.

D.J. Grassie went 3-0 in singles for Chaparral.

Arbor View 10, Clark 8 — At Clark, the Aggies edged the Chargers.

Clark’s Sehoon Park was 2-0 in singles and the doubles team of Matt Lee and Roger Yee went 2-0 for the Chargers.
