ROUNDUP: Cimarron boys tame Bengals in tiebreaker

Brady Osborne went 2-1 in singles, and James Salis and Royce Hightower went 2-1 in doubles on Friday to help Cimarron-Memorial’s boys tennis team to a 10-9 win at Bonanza.

The teams split their 18 regulation sets, but the Spartans won four of the six tiebreaker games to clinch the victory.

Andy Stephenson went 3-0 in singles for Bonanza, and Andrew Malek and Jacob Mabey went 3-0 in doubles for the Bengals.

Centennial 13, Desert Oasis 5 — At Centennial, Greg Madsen was 3-0 in singles to lead the Bulldogs over the Diamondbacks.

Dallan Johnson was 2-0 in singles for Centennial.

Bryce Tacker and Ryan Cronk were 2-0 in doubles for Desert Oasis.

Moapa Valley 12, Tech 6 — At Overton, Skyler Hill and Kade Bryant each went 2-1 in singles to help the Pirates tame the Roadrunners.

Ethan Seely and Justin Boren were 2-0 in doubles for Moapa Valley.

Christian Valle went 3-0 in singles for Tech.

Clark 15, Western 3 — At Clark, Chaitanya Ingle went 2-0 in singles, and Caleb Chen and Mark McCrary were 2-0 in doubles as the Chargers beat the Warriors.

Ryan Garbowski went 2-1 in singles to lead Western.

Bishop Gorman 17, Legacy 1 — At Gorman, Owen Rosebeck went 3-0 in singles as the Gaels blitzed the Longhorns.

J.R. Regalado was 2-0 in singles, and the doubles teams of Kevin Land and Bronson McLane, and Josh Weissman and Matt Jaojoco each went 2-0 for Gorman.

Palo Verde 17, Shadow Ridge 1 — At Palo Verde, the Panthers routed the Mustangs.

Chaparral 13, Desert Pines 3 — At Desert Pines, the Cowboys downed the Jaguars.

Boulder City 12, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Eagles won by forfeit.

Green Valley 12, Canyon Springs 0 — At Green Valley, the Gators won by forfeit.

Durango at Arbor View — The match between the Trailblazers and Aggies was suspended due to darkness. Durango was a 12-6 winner in the completion of a match suspended on Aug. 30.

Mojave at Cheyenne — The match between the Rattlers and Desert Shields ended in a double forfeit as neither team could field the requisite six players.

GIRLS

Moapa Valley 11, Tech 7 — At Overton, Alyx Waite and Holly Rust went 3-0 in doubles to propel the Pirates by the Roadrunners.

Jennessa Gates went 2-1 in singles for Moapa Valley.

Sydney Bunker went 2-1 in singles for Tech.

Bonanza 12, Cimarron-Memorial 6 — At Bonanza, Adrienne Millow was 3-0 in singles, and Lauren Smith went 2-0 in singles to help the Bengals top the Spartans.

Tiersa Schultz and Lilly Garcia were 3-0 in doubles for Cimarron.

Clark 11, Western 7 — At Clark, Connie Shen went 2-0 in singles to help the Chargers beat the Warriors.

Cierra White was 3-0 in singles for Western, and teammates Belinda Sandoval and Kylie Gonzalez went 3-0 in doubles.

Desert Pines 11, Chaparral 7 — At Desert Pines, the doubles teams of Mekham Singkhamta and Ashley Palacios, and Dianne Esteller and Christine Berja each went 3-0 to lift the Jaguars past the Cowboys.

Centennial 13, Desert Oasis 5 — At Centennial, Michelle Albright went 3-0 in singles, and Genica Chow went 2-0 in singles as the Bulldogs topped the Diamondbacks.

McKay Novak and Danielle Gordon went 3-0 in doubles for Centennial.

Sierra Vista 15, Spring Valley 3 — At Spring Valley, Alexis Vincent went 3-0 in singles to help the Mountain Lions top the Grizzlies.

Lea Kirtchner was 2-1 in singles for Spring Valley.

Bishop Gorman 18, Legacy 0 — At Gorman, Monika Ryan was 3-0 in singles to lead the Gaels’ sweep of the Longhorns.

Boulder City 13, Sunrise Mountain 5 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Eagles downed the Miners. Boulder City also finished off a 10-8 win over the Miners in a match that was suspended due to rain on Aug. 31.
