ROUNDUP: Cimarron doubles teams advance to Northwest final

At least one Cimarron-Memorial tennis team will win a Northwest Doubles Tournament championship.
On their home court, the Spartans advanced both of their girls entries to the final Friday and have a team in the boys championship match. Both championships are scheduled for Saturday at 8 a.m.
In the girls final, Cimarron’s Stephanie Kaplan and Solena Mednicoff will meet teammates Starlyn Thomas and Carrie Sheehan.
Kaplan and Mednicoff topped Cheyenne’s Alicia Mangual and Vanessa Wilfong in the semifinals, 6-0, 7-5. Thomas and Sheehan were 6-3, 6-3 winners against Palo Verde’s Tanya Didio and Zara Wetterling.
In the boys final, Cimarron’s Pablo Osorio and Jonas Wellan will face Faith Lutheran’s Jake Benowitz and Sam Taylor in the final.
Osorio and Wellan breezed past Arbor View’s Jon Lester and Tyler Seppala, 6-1, 6-3.
Benowitz and Taylor were 6-2, 6-3 winners over Cheyenne’s Andrew Graham and Morgan Sandberg.

For the second time in less than a week, Eldorado and Moapa Valley had their boys and girls matches postponed Friday.

For the second time in less than a week, Eldorado and Moapa Valley had their boys and girls matches postponed Friday.
The teams were originally scheduled to play on Tuesday, but rescheduled the match for Friday with Eldorado to travel to Overton.
Eldorado was informed shortly before its scheduled departure time that no school bus was available to transport them.
The matches have tentatively been rescheduled for Monday.
