ROUNDUP: Desert Pines girls overcome Bulldogs in tiebreaker

Ayde Murillo went 3-0 in singles Thursday, and Desert Pines’ girls tennis team held off visiting Virgin Valley in a tiebreaker to post a 10-9 win.

The teams split their 18 regulation sets and each won three of the six tiebreaker games, but during the tiebreakers, Desert Pines outscored the Bulldogs, 29-28.

The Jaguars’ doubles teams of Mekham Singkhamta and Ashley Palacios, and Dianne Esteller and Christine Berja each went 3-0.

Valley 10, Silverado 9 — At Valley, Stephanie Taing and Olivia Jensen were 3-0 in doubles, and the Vikings held off the Skyhawks in a tiebreaker.

After the teams split their 18 regulation sets, each won three of the six tiebreakers, but the Vikings outscored Silverado 42-41 in the tiebreaker to claim the win.

Valley’s doubles teams of Diondra Dilworth and Soraya Peron, and Megan Jones and Daisy Mejia-Ramirez each went 2-1.

Katie Barker went 3-0 in singles for the Skyhawks.

Eldorado 10, Foothill 9 — At Eldorado, Yoli and Dora Carrillo went 3-0 in doubles, and the Sundevils won a tiebreaker to nip the Falcons.

The teams split their 18 regulations sets, and each won three of the six tiebreaker games, but Eldorado outscored Foothill, 34-30 in the tiebreakers to win the match.

Jazmine Sanchez and Kerrigan Holman were 2-1 in doubles, and Melissa Guerrero was 2-1 in singles for Eldorado.

Lilly Nettles went 3-0 in singles, and Madison Pike was 2-1 in singles for Foothill.

Liberty 10, Basic 8 — At Liberty, Sina Gebrai went 3-0 in singles to lead the Patriots to victory over the Wolves.

Amber Long and Hailey Collins were 3-0 in doubles for Basic.

Green Valley 16, Rancho 2 — At Green Valley, Josie Legarza, Racquel Holder and Erica Shelton each went 3-0 in singles play as the Gators topped the Rams.

Sydnee Crosby and Paola Davila went 3-0 in doubles for Green Valley.

Boulder City 11, Tech 7 — At Tech, Aiyana Donske went 2-1 in singles to help lead the Eagles past the Roadrunners.

Katrina Sta Cruz went 2-1 in singles to lead Tech.

Palo Verde 18, Arbor View 0 — At Arbor View, Anahit Urfalyan went 3-0 in singles as the Panthers blanked the Aggies.

Palo Verde’s Shannon Dean and Ryann Sheppard went 2-0 in doubles.

Las Vegas 14, Canyon Springs 4 — At Las Vegas, Selena Torres was 3-0 in singles as the Wildcats topped the Pioneers.

Coronado 17, Del Sol 1 — At Coronado, Connie Perkins went 2-0 in singles as the Cougars routed the Dragons.

Faith Lutheran 15, Adelson School 3 — At Red Rock Country Club, the Crusaders topped the Lions.

Remy Schlossberg was 2-1 in singles for Adelson School.

Moapa Valley 12, Sunrise Mountain 6 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Pirates downed the Miners.

Sierra Vista 11, Durango 7 — At Durango, the Mountain Lions topped the Trailblazers.

BOYS

Tech 10, Boulder City 9 — At Tech, Christian Valle went 3-0 in singles to help the Roadrunners nip the Eagles.

The teams each won nine of the 18 regulation sets, but Tech won four of the six tiebreakers games to earn the win.

Ian West and Gavin Morris were 3-0 in doubles to lead Boulder City.

Valley 11, Silverado 7 — At Valley, the doubles teams of Lorenzo Capannolo and Michael Coppedge, and Matt Ballaro and Marty Heavey each went 3-0 to lead the Vikings by the Skyhawks.

Swade Potter went 3-0 in singles for the Skyhawks.

Green Valley 12, Rancho 6 — At Green Valley, Jake Johnson and C.J. Kesjarel were 2-0 in doubles to help the Gators top the Rams.

Rohan Gupte was 3-0 in singles, and Andy Gamboa and Peng Huang were 2-1 in doubles for Rancho.

Sierra Vista 12, Durango 6 — At Durango, Arash Adrangi and Kayvon Adrangi each went 3-0 in singles to help the Mountain Lions down the Trailblazers.

Foothill 12, Eldorado 6 — At Eldorado, Seth Tanner and Bligh Madris each went 3-0 in singles to help lead the Falcons past the Sundevils.

Joey Barnhurst and Seattle Stoneback went 3-0 in doubles to lead Eldorado.

Coronado 15, Del Sol 3 — At Coronado, Troy Nguyen was 2-0 in singles to lead the Cougars past the Dragons.

Liberty 12, Basic 6 — At Liberty, Chitnarong Sopat went 3-0 in singles to lead the Patriots past the Wolves.

Logan Green and Ryan Weldon were 3-0 in doubles for Basic.

Spring Valley 14, Shadow Ridge 4 — At Spring Valley, Ozzie Tavares and Eric Clark each went 3-0 in singles to help the Grizzlies top the Mustangs.

Michael McLaghlin and Garett Nelson were 3-0 in doubles for Spring Valley.

Palo Verde 17, Arbor View 1— At Arbor View, Conor Safbom and Wesley Mann went 2-0 in doubles to help the Panthers top the Aggies.

Zack Surmacz went 2-0 in singles for Palo Verde.

Las Vegas 17, Canyon Springs 1 — At Las Vegas, Zach Blanco was 3-0 in singles to lead the Wildcats by the Pioneers.

Faith Lutheran 15, Adelson School 3 — At Red Rock Country Club, the Crusaders downed the Lions.
