ROUNDUP: Doubles teams carry Virgin Valley’s boys past Tech

The doubles teams of Jacob Mikkelsen and Nate Hughes, and Blake Brandes and Tyler Hughes each went 3-0 on Wednesday to help Virgin Valley’s boys tennis team to a 12-6 win over visiting Tech.

Kaden Atkin went 2-0 in singles for the Bulldogs, who also won a tiebreaker to complete a 10-9 victory over Tech in a match that was suspended because of darkness on Sept. 4.

Christian Valle was 3-0 in singles for the Roadrunners.

Las Vegas 12, Silverado 6 — At Silverado, Zach Blanco went 3-0 in singles to lead the Wildcats past the Skyhawks.

Liberty 11, Eldorado 7 — At Liberty, Dylan Ihmels went 3-0 in singles to lead the Patriots to a win over the Sundevils.

Centennial 14, Bonanza 4— At Bonanza, the doubles teams of Lucas Lee and Dallan Johnson, and Ricky Koplov and Parker McDonough both went 3-0 to help the Bulldogs beat the Bengals.

Andy Stephenson went 3-0 in singles for Bonanza.

Rancho 13, Canyon Springs 5— At Rancho, the doubles team of Andy Gamboa and Peng Huang went 3-0, and Jacob Egan was 3-0 in singles as the Rams beat the Pioneers.

Dustin Dancin went 2-1 in singles for Canyon Springs.

Green Valley 13, Valley 5 — At Valley, Parker Phelps and Amar Shah finished 2-0 in doubles to power the Gators past the Vikings.

David Delaney and Michael Coppedge each finished 2-1 in singles to lead Valley.

Foothill 12, Del Sol 6 — At Foothill, Tristin Hansel and Tyler Van Stone each went 1-0 in singles to help the Falcons to a win over the Dragons.

Andrew Natale was 2-1 in singles, and Nick Trujillo and Mike DeLeon went 2-1 in doubles to lead Del Sol.

Bishop Gorman 15, Cimarron-Memorial 3— At Cimarron, Sam Sholeff went 2-0 in singles, and the doubles team of Jalen Paulos and Joe Connors went 2-0 as the Gaels downed the Spartans.

Coronado 17, Basic 1 — At Basic, Casel King went 3-0 in singles as the Cougars cruised past the Wolves.

Patrick Crockett and Michael Boyd went 3-0 in doubles for Coronado.

Desert Oasis 17, Legacy 1— At Desert Oasis, Ryan Cronk and Tryston Drawe both went 3-0 in singles as the Diamondbacks routed the Longhorns.

The doubles teams of Mike Co and Kristian Godfrey, and Danny Chavez and Heron Vasquez both went 3-0 for Desert Oasis.

Palo Verde 17, Spring Valley 1 — At Palo Verde, Rhett Bossung went 2-0 in singles as the Panthers routed the Grizzlies.

Palo Verde’s doubles teams of Conor Safbom and Wesley Mann, and Bailey Swainston and Tejiro Nishimura each went 2-0.

Boulder City 10, Desert Pines 8 — At Boulder City, the Eagles nipped the Jaguars.

Cheyenne 10, Adelson School 3 — At Cheyenne, the Desert Shields topped the Lions.

Chaparral 12, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Chaparral, the Cowboys won by forfeit.

Faith Lutheran 12, Mojave 0 — At Darling Tennis Center, the Crusaders won by forfeit.
