ROUNDUP: Doubles teams propel Bonanza past Cimarron

The doubles teams of Kim Pace and Kayla Sylvester, and Mia Mallette and Mellin Haidl each went 3-0 on Friday to help Bonanza’s girls tennis team to a 15-3 win at Cimarron-Memorial.

Kim Sanchez was 2-1 in singles to lead the Spartans.

Centennial 14, Desert Oasis 4 — At Desert Oasis, Michelle Albright and Savannah Sgro both went 3-0 in singles as the Bulldogs downed the Diamondbacks.

Centennial’s doubles teams of Danielle Gordon and McKay Novak, and Genica Chow and Jade Novato each went 3-0.

Bishop Gorman 18, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, the doubles team of Alexandria Gordon and Addie Gardner went 3-0 to lead the Gaels to a sweep of the Longhorns.

Moapa Valley 11, Tech 7 — At Tech, the Pirates edged the Roadrunners.

Clark 12, Western 0 — At Western, the Chargers won by forfeit.

Cheyenne 12, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, the Desert Shields won by forfeit.

Desert Pines vs. Chaparral — The Desert Pines at Chaparral match was suspended after the second round due to rain.

Boulder City vs. Sunrise Mountain — The Boulder City at Sunrise Mountain match was halted in the second round due to rain. It will be completed at Boulder City on Sept. 14.

BOYS

Bishop Gorman 18, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, Andrew Crenwelge and Joe Connors were 3-0 in doubles as the Gaels blanked the Longhorns.

Ian Dobberstein and Sam Sholeff each went 2-0 in singles, and Zach Von Tobel and Owen Rosebeck were 2-0 in doubles for Gorman.

Chaparral 14, Desert Pines 4 — At Chaparral, Rustin Ostrow went 3-0 in singles to lead the Cowboys by the Jaguars.

The doubles teams of Zack Harman and Brian Moya, and Matt Ellison and Beau DeLaPaz both were 2-0 for Chaparral.

Centennial 14, Desert Oasis 4 — At Desert Oasis, Lucas Lee and Parker McDonough both went 2-0 in singles as the Bulldogs beat the Diamondbacks.

Ryan Cronk was 2-1 in singles to lead Desert Oasis.

Moapa Valley 13, Tech 5 — At Tech, the Pirates downed the Roadrunners.

Tech’s Christian Valle went 3-0 in singles.

Clark 14, Western 4 — At Western, the Chargers rolled past the Warriors.

Boulder City 12, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Eagles won by forfeit.

Cimarron-Memorial 12, Bonanza 0 — At Cimarron, the Spartans won by forfeit.

Cheyenne vs. Mojave — The Cheyenne vs. Mojave match ended in a double forfeit as neither team could field the requisite six players.
