ROUNDUP: Garcia, Blanco sweep Sundevils to give Wildcat boys top seed from Northeast

Juan Garcia and Zach Blanco each went 3-0 in singles play Monday as Las Vegas High’s boys tennis team clinched the Northeast League’s No. 1 seed for the Sunrise Region playoffs with a 12-6 win at Eldorado.

Andre Walls was 2-0 in singles for the Wildcats, who are 7-0 in league play.

Seattle Stoneback and Joey Barnhurst went 3-0 in doubles play for the Sundevils.

Coronado 17, Tech 1 — At Tech, the Cougars wrapped up the Southeast’s No. 1 seed by improving to 7-0 in league play with their rout of the Roadrunners.

Foothill 13, Del Sol 5 — At Del Sol, Drew Mortensen was 3-0 in singles to lead the Falcons past the Dragons.

Dylan Hansel and John Qualls teamed up to go 3-0 in doubles for Foothill.

Del Sol’s Anthony Gugino and Tommy Gugino went 2-1 in doubles, and teammate Henry Gonzalez was 2-1 in singles.

Liberty 11, Basic 7 — At Basic, Rap Sopat went 3-0 in singles to lift the Patriots past the Wolves.

Michael Loreto and Kih Gourrier went 3-0 in doubles for Liberty.

Chaparral 15, Sunrise Mountain 3 — At Chaparral, Bryan Newman, Eric Hansen and Marquelle Barlaw each went 3-0 in singles as the Cowboys breezed past the Miners.

Edgar Munoz and Dylan Mauceri were 3-0 in doubles for the Cowboys.

Valley 12, Moapa Valley 6 — At Valley, Mitchell Diesko was 3-0 in singles, and Eric Herring and Jack Heavey went 3-0 in doubles as the Vikings defeated the Pirates.

Camden Stratton finished 2-1 in singles for Moapa Valley.

Green Valley 17, Silverado 1 — At Green Valley, the Gators blitzed the Skyhawks.

Rancho 12, Canyon Springs 0 — At Canyon Springs, the Rams won by forfeit.
