ROUNDUP: Gupte’s sweep helps Rancho boys outlast Moapa Valley

Rohan Gupte went 3-0 in singles Monday, and Rancho’s boys tennis team survived a tiebreaker to nip host Moapa Valley, 10-9, in a Northeast League match.

The teams split their 18 regulation sets and each team won three of the six tiebreakers, but the Rams outscored the Pirates, 33-31, in those tiebreakers to earn the win.

The doubles teams of Sterling Waite and Brad Mulcock, and Skylar Hill and Jayce Chalfont each finished 3-0 for Moapa Valley.

Las Vegas 13, Chaparral 5 — At Chaparral, Andre Walls and Juan Garcia each went 3-0 in singles to help the Wildcats top the Cowboys.

Edgar Munoz and Martelle Barlaw were 2-0 in doubles for Chaparral.

Coronado 17, Basic 1 — At Coronado, Sam Cohen was 2-0 in singles, and Kevin Hashman and Sebastian Sandqvist went 3-0 in doubles as the Cougars cruised past the Wolves. 

Silverado 12, Tech 6 — At Silverado, Patrick Bobson and Matt Thomas teamed to go 3-0 in doubles and lead the Skyhawks past the Roadrunners.

Carlos Delgadillo was 3-0 in singles for Tech.

Boulder City 13, Del Sol 5 — At Boulder City, Everest Donskie, D.J. Henderson and Travis Robinson each went 3-0 in singles to lift the Eagles past the Dragons.

Henry Gonzalez and Tommy Gugino were 3-0 in doubles for Del Sol.

Foothill 11, Liberty 7 — At Foothill, the Falcons defeated the Patriots.

Bonanza 11, Clark 7 — At Bonanza, Craig Whiting and Cru Leavitt went 3-0 in doubles to lead the Bengals past the Chargers.

Bonanza’s Jared Hyer was 2-1 in singles, and Reed Thuet and Trevor Jacobson were 2-1 in doubles for the Bengals.

Clark’s Chris Yee was 3-0 in singles.

Bishop Gorman 15, Sierra Vista 3 — At Gorman, Chris Nouis went 3-0 in singles as the Gaels routed the Mountain Lions.

Gorman’s Tyler Tucky and Michael Bessen, and Danny Pecoraro and Joey Javier each went 3-0 in doubles.

Durango 13, Desert Oasis 5 — At Desert Oasis, Josh Maury and Chris Endo went 2-0 in doubles to help the Trailblazers defeat the Diamondbacks.

Paolo De Los Angeles added a 2-1 performance in singles for Durango.

The Diamondbacks’ Max Goldman went 3-0 in singles.

Spring Valley 16, Virgin Valley 2 — At Spring Valley, the doubles teams of Michael McLaughlin and Garett Nelson, and Cadin

Boudaghian and Jevar Luu went 3-0 to help the Grizzlies cruise past Virgin Valley.

Centennial 16, Arbor View 2 — At Centennial, Lucas Lee went 3-0 in singles to help lead the Bulldogs past the Aggies.

The doubles teams of Brandon Fish and Josh Arias, and Drake Sacenti and Tyler Collins each finished 2-0 for Centennial.

The Meadows 11, Legacy 7 — At The Meadows, the doubles teams of Ryan Wells and Evan Roth, and Max Novak and Adam Aziz both went 3-0 to give the Mustangs a win over the Longhorns.

Faith Lutheran 16, Shadow Ridge 2 — At Faith Lutheran, Jake Benowitz was 3-0 in singles as the Crusaders routed the Mustangs.

Eldorado 12, Canyon Springs 0 — At Eldorado, the Sundevils won by forfeit.

Valley 12, Desert Pines 0 — At Valley, the Vikings won by forfeit.

Palo Verde 12, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, the Panthers won by forfeit.

Cimarron-Memorial 12, Cheyenne 0 — At Cimarron, the Spartans won by forfeit.
