ROUNDUP: Jackson, Nilsson lead Panther boys past Chargers

The doubles team of Richie Jackson and Pascal Nilsson went 2-0 Wednesday to lead Palo Verde’s boys tennis team to an 11-7 win over visiting Clark.

Rhett Bossung and Conor Safbom also were 2-0 in doubles for the Panthers.

Kris Yee went 3-0 in singles for the Chargers.

Bishop Gorman 13, The Meadows 5 — At The Meadows, Cody Miller went 3-0 in singles as the Gaels topped the Mustangs.

Michael Bessen and Jalen Paulos were 3-0 in doubles for Gorman, and teammate Ian Dobberstein was 2-1 in singles.

Evan Roth was 2-1 in singles for The Meadows.

Arbor View 10, Valley 7 — At Valley, Manuel Portillo was 3-0 in singles as the Aggies edged the Vikings.

Jack Heavey went 2-1 in singles for Valley, and teammates David Delaney and Matt Ballaro were 2-1 in doubles.

Coronado 18, Durango 0 — At Coronado, Matt Dees and Andy Durand both went 3-0 in singles as the Cougars swept the Trailblazers.

Liberty 12, Eldorado 6 — At Liberty, Gil Lim went 3-0 in singles to lift the Patriots past the Sundevils.

Boulder City 12, Desert Pines 0 — At Boulder City, the Eagles won by forfeit.

GIRLS

Palo Verde 18, Clark 0 — At Palo Verde, Victoire Saperstein and Andrea Rathbun each went 3-0 in singles as the Panthers blanked the Chargers.

Megan Randazzo and Sarah Sanders were 3-0 in doubles for Palo Verde.

The Meadows 10, Bishop Gorman 8 — At Gorman, Taler Brazell and Amanda Brazell each went 3-0 in singles to help the Mustangs nip the Gaels.

Arbor View 11, Valley 7 — At Valley, Alejandra Portillo went 3-0 in singles to lead the Aggies past the Vikings.

Paige Elsea and Kenia Jones were 3-0 in doubles for Arbor View.

Soraya Peron and Emary Bryant finished 2-1 in doubles for Valley.

Boulder City 16, Desert Pines 2 — At Boulder City, Aiyana Donske, Melissa Oberto and Mikelle Torgesen each went 3-0 in singles play as the Eagles routed the Jaguars.

Liberty 12, Eldorado 6 — At Liberty, Ashley Wao-Udin was 3-0 in singles as the Patriots downed the Sundevils.

Coronado 12, Durango 0 — At Coronado, the Cougars won by forfeit.
