Roundup: Liberty beats Valley in a tiebreaker

Jada Whited and Anna Pfarrer went 3-0 in doubles for Liberty’s girls tennis team Monday as the Patriots edged visiting Valley in a tiebreaker, 10-9.

Madison Knoblock went 3-0 singles for the Patriots.

Chaparral 10, Tech 8 — At Chaparral, Justine Abano finished 3-0 in singles, and the doubles team of Karina Cosentino and Eva Esqueda also finished 3-0 as the Cowboys defeated the Roadrunners.

Bishop Gorman 14, Bonanza 4 — At Bonanza, the doubles teams of Emma Figueredo and Lauren Song, and Karissa Matthews and Madison Winston each went 3-0 to lead the Gaels past the Bengals.

Giovanna Chaparro and Olivia Balelo went 2-0 in doubles, and Courtney Wolfson went 2-1 in singles for the Gaels.

Aubrey Adams and Madi Cherry each went 2-1 in singles to lead the Bengals.

Moapa Valley 13, Virgin Valley 5 — At Overton, Morgan Aikele and Lillian Leavitt finished 3-0 in doubles as the Pirates defeated the Bulldogs.

Jurnie Crawford also finished 3-0 in singles. The doubles teams of Averee Widdison and Aubrey Aikele, and Amber Ables and Courtney Zerkle also finished 2-0 for Moapa Valley.

Talia Hanson and Emma Wilson each finished 2-1 in singles for Virgin Valley.

Eldorado 13, Canyon Springs 5 — At Canyon Springs, Johanna Torrez went 3-0 in singles play to lift the Sundevils past the Pioneers.

Karla Magana and Jacqueline Garces each went 2-1 in singles to lead the Pioneers.

Foothill 10, Green Valley 8 — At Green Valley, Abbey Flinders and Kristel Peralta went 2-0 in doubles to power the Falcons over the Gators.

Silverado 14, Rancho 4 — At Silverado, Lyric Ciarlo went 2-0 in singles to lead the Skyhawks past the Rams.

Morgan Seiler and Kathryn Carder went 2-0 in doubles for Silverado.

Desert Pines 18, Adelson School 0 — At Adelson School, Brie Perkins and Nadxielli Arredondo each went 3-0 in singles to power the Jaguars past the Lions.

Veronica Palacios and Yazaret Arredondo finished 3-0 in doubles for the Jaguars.

Coronado 18, Las Vegas 0 — At Las Vegas High, Carly Poste finished 3-0 in singles as the Cougars defeated the Wildcats.

Clark 13, Durango 5 — At Clark, the Chargers defeated the Trailblazers.

The Meadows 17, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, the Mustangs defeated the Desert Shields.

Boulder City 12, Del Sol 0 — At Boulder City, the Eagles defeated the Dragons by forfeit.

Sunrise Mountain vs. Mojave — At Mojave, the match ended in a double forfeit.

The Meadows boys tennis team won the Class 4A state title Friday in Reno. The Boulder City boys and girls lost to Northern teams in the 3A title matches.
