Roundup: Maxwell Blum, Crusaders edge Bulldogs

Faith Lutheran’s Maxwell Blum went 3-0 in singles play as the Crusaders edged host Centennial 10-8 on Monday in boys tennis.

The doubles team of Taylor Pettigrew and Blake Kelly also went 3-0 for the Crusaders.

Justin Madsen went 2-1 in singles play for the Bulldogs, while the Nik Dobara and Ethan Winspear went 2-1 in doubles play.

Sierra Vista 10, Durango 9 — At Durango, the Mountain Lions edged the Trailblazers 28-27 on a tiebreaker to earn the win.

The doubles team of Tyler Sunstrum and James Schneider went 3-0 to lead Sierra Vista.

Arjay Angus and Jovan Lubura each went 3-0 in singles for the Trailblazers.

Arbor View 15, Shadow Ridge 3 — At Shadow Ridge, the Aggies had three doubles teams finish 2-0 in their win over the Mustangs.

The teams of McKade Dudman and Dylan Karn, Chad Decker and Tyler Worthington, and Seager Bogden and Matthew Sproul all finished 2-0 for the Aggies.

Kru Kimoto and John David each finished 2-0 in singles for Arbor View.

Palo Verde 16, Bonanza 2 — At Palo Verde, Axel Botticelli and Jack Kostrinksy each finished 3-0 in singles to help the Panthers top the Bengals.

Palo Verde’s Denim Richardson also finished 2-0 in singles.

The doubles teams of Hayden Huckfeldt and Benjamin Waid, Jaydin Atkin and Sam Soderberg, and Travis Clingman and Jack Hughes each finished 2-0 for the Panthers.

Boulder City 16, Liberty 2 — At Liberty, Andre Pappas went 3-0 in singles as the Eagles dominated the Patriots.

Tanner Montgomery and Karson Bailey teamed to go 3-0 in doubles for Boulder City.

Rancho 17, Del Sol 1 — At Rancho, Tanner Albright, Ethan Schwartz and Ojas Sali each went 2-0 in singles as the Rams routed the Dragons.

The doubles team of Daniel Savaria and Jacob Charisell won Del Sol’s lone set.

Bishop Gorman 18, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Max Wolfson and Billy MacDonald each went 2-0 in singles action to lead the Gaels in a shutout of the Grizzlies.

The doubles team of Cole Davidson and Austin Chong also went 2-0 for the Gaels.

Desert Oasis 18, Cimarron-Memorial 0 — At Cimarron, the Diamondbacks shut out the Spartans.

Clark 12, Legacy 0 — At Clark, the Chargers beat the Longhorns by forfeit.

Desert Pines 12, Mojave 0 — At Desert Pines, the Jaguars defeated the Rattlers by forfeit.

Adelson School 12, Western 0 — At Adelson School, the Lions defeated the Warriors by forfeit.

Sunrise Mountain vs. Cheyenne — At Cheyenne, the match between the Miners and Desert Shields was a double forfeit as neither school had the requisite six players.
