Roundup: Singles play helps Rancho edge Las Vegas

Tanner Albright and Ojas Sali each went 3-0 in singles to help Rancho’s boys tennis team to a 10-8 road win over Las Vegas on Wednesday afternoon.

Nathan Freimuth and Ashton Barney went 3-0 in doubles for Las Vegas.

Desert Oasis 10, Sierra Vista 8 — At Sierra Vista, Caiden Jacob, Tyler Parlade and Ognjen Zekanovic each finished 3-0 in singles as the Diamondbacks edged the Mountain Lions.

The doubles teams of Tyler Sunstrum and James Schnieder, and Aleksander Bolta and Andrew True both went 3-0 to lead Sierra Vista.

Centennial 10, Bonanza 8 — At Bonanza, three doubles teams went 2-0 to help the Bulldogs edge the Bengals.

The doubles teams of Nik Dobar and Ethan Winspear, Kelby Sosa and Dawson Stratton, and Stevie Felts and Tim Tuong all went 2-0. Justin Madsen went 2-1 in singles for Centennial.

Mark Thuet went 3-0 in singles for the Bengals, and teammate Justin Balconi was 2-1.

Faith Lutheran 11, Durango 7 — At Durango, Maxwell Blum went 3-0 in singles to guide the Crusaders past the Trailblazers.

Ryan Brooks and Michael Markantonis teamed to go 2-0 in doubles for Faith Lutheran.

Foothill 11, Liberty 7 — At Liberty, Travis Weber went 3-0 in singles to lead the Falcons over the Patriots.

The doubles team of Andrew Hauck and Brandon Maroushek was 3-0 for Foothill.

Arbor View 14, Cimarron-Memorial 4 — At Cimarron, John David, Kru Kimoto and Tanner Townsend each went 2-0 in singles to help the Aggies defeat the Spartans.

The doubles team of McKade Dudman and Dylan Karn also finished 2-0 for Arbor View.

Palo Verde 15, Spring Valley 3 — At Palo Verde, the doubles teams of Jack Hughes and Travis Clingman, and Richard Coop and Kenneth Hsu each went 2-0 to power the Panthers past the Grizzlies.

Axel Botticelli 2-0 in singles for Palo Verde.

Clark 16, Shadow Ridge 2 — At Clark, Michael Pasimio and Rahul Gupte each went 2-0 in singles to lead the Chargers by the Mustangs.

The doubles teams of Justin Ong and Dustin Mader, and Aria Khiabani and Rajeev Jayaweera also finished 2-0 for Clark.

Coronado 18, Valley 0 — At Valley, Sebastian Frace was 2-0 in singles as the Cougars routed the Vikings.

Bishop Gorman 12, Legacy 0 — At Legacy, the Gaels defeated the Longhorns by forfeit.

Desert Pines 12, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, the Jaguars defeated the Rattlers by forfeit.

Adelson School 12, Western 0 — At Western, the Lions topped the Warriors by forfeit.

Cheyenne vs. Sunrise Mountain — At Sunrise Mountain, the match ended in a double forfeit.
