ROUNDUP: Singles sweep sends Shadow Ridge boys by Faith Lutheran

Jeff Elmer, Brandon Kurtz and Kyle Smith each went 3-0 in singles Monday as Shadow Ridge won 12-6 at Faith Lutheran in the Northwest League boys tennis opener for both teams.
Cimarron-Memorial 13, Cheyenne 2 — At Cimarron-Memorial, the Spartans clinched a match that was called late due to rain.
Aaron Bowers was 2-0 in singles, and Cameron Tatz and Matt Mabida went 2-0 in doubles for Cimarron.
Basic 11, Boulder City 7 — At Boulder City, Mike Feher went 3-0 in singles to lead the Wolves to an 11-7 victory.
Silverado 10, Liberty 8 — At Silverado, Devon Morrissey and Dillon McNamara each went 3-0 in singles as the Skyhawks edged the Patriots.
Coronado 14, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, Matthew Gapultos, Colton Pate and Marc Feldman all went 2-0 in singles to lead the Cougars to the win.
The match was called late because of lightning.
Palo Verde 18, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, the Panthers won by forfeit as the Rattlers had only one eligible player.
Rain halts three matches — The Arbor View at Centennial, Legacy at The Meadows, and Foothill at Green Valley matches were all suspended due to rain. Completion dates were not available.
