TENNIS: Doubles team helps Liberty boys nip Valley

Kevin Bloomquist and Sarem Khilji went 3-0 in doubles Monday to help Liberty's boys tennis team nip host Valley, 10-8.

Valley's Marty Heavey was 2-1 in singles, and Alex Gustilo and Jeremiah Williams went 2-1 in doubles for the Vikings.

Legacy 10, Shadow Ridge 8 — At Shadow Ridge, Davian and Isaac Campolla teamed to go 2-0 in doubles to lead the Longhorns over the Mustangs.

Guillermo Valdez-Grijalva was 2-1 in singles for Legacy.

Manuel Fuessl went 3-0 in singles for Shadow Ridge.

Bonanza 12, Cimarron-Memorial 6 — At Cimarron, Weston Clark was 3-0 in singles as the Bengals downed the Spartans.

The doubles teams of Marshall Nelson and Scott Sylvester, and Mark Thuet and Justin Rodgers each went 2-1 for Bonanza.

Cimarron's Noah Loeffler and Adrianne Lopez were 3-0 in doubles, and Trevor Huntly was 2-1 in singles for the Spartans.

Desert Oasis 14, Arbor View 4 — At Arbor View, the Diamondbacks swept the singles sets en route to the win over the Aggies.

Ben Gajardo, Alejandro Romero and Caiden Jacob each went 3-0 in singles for Desert Oasis.

Arbor View's Treven Clizbe and Brenden Wagner were 2-0 in doubles.

Foothill 14, Basic 4 — At Foothill, Tristin Hansel was 3-0 in singles as the Falcons defeated the Wolves.

Billy Crawford went 2-0 in singles, and the doubles teams of Teodor Drabicki and Lukas Werle, and Jack Fredericksen and Jameson Morris both went 2-0 for Foothill.

Thomas Romero and Brennan Earl were 2-1 in doubles for Basic.

Coronado 16, Eldorado 2 — At Coronado, Martin Rizov and Logan Chen each went 2-0 in singles as the Cougars topped the Sundevils.

Colin Peltier and Ethan Quandt were 2-0 in doubles for Coronado.

Trevor Swain went 2-1 in singles for Eldorado.

Bishop Gorman 16, Durango 2 — At Gorman, Michael Connors and Jack Silvestri went 3-0 in doubles to lead the Gaels by the Trailblazers.

Daniel Kinas was 2-0 in singles for Gorman.

Green Valley 15, Rancho 3 — At Green Valley, the Gators defeated the Skyhawks.

Silverado 12, Canyon Springs 0 — At Silverado, the Skyhawks won by forfeit.

GIRLS

Bonanza 12, Cimarron-Memorial 6 — At Cimarron, the doubles teams of Caroline Thuet and Abby Lords, and Brittany Bates and Emmalee Glover each went 3-0 to help the Bengals top the Spartans.

Ashlee McKenna, Carla LaRosa and Maris Nelson each went 2-1 in singles for Bonanza.

Justine Felix was 3-0 in singles for Cimarron.

Foothill 13, Basic 5 — At Foothill, Morgan Hawkins went 3-0 in singles to lead the Falcons by the Wolves.

Emily Campbell was 2-0 in singles, and Hannah Bunker and Laini George went 2-0 in doubles for Foothill.

Britney Green and Crystal Klein were 2-1 in doubles for Basic.

Coronado 14, Eldorado 4 — At Coronado, Morgan Mastromarino and Mina McCormick went 3-0 in doubles to help the Cougars top the Sundevils.

Camille Solla was 2-0 in singles, and Megan Balmer and Alexandra Doherty were 2-0 in doubles for Coronado.

Cheyenne Delicate went 2-1 in singles for Eldorado.

Shadow Ridge 14, Legacy 4 — At Shadow Ridge, Madison Joblin was 3-0 in singles to lead the Mustangs over the Longhorns.

The doubles teams of Kate Dennis and Samantha Milanovich, Caroline Hawley and Caitlin Covington, and Veronica Munoz and Taylor Dixon each went 3-0 for Shadow Ridge.

Silverado 15, Canyon Springs 3 — At Silverado, Megan Lopez and Lyric Ciarlo each went 3-0 in singles as the Skyhawks downed the Pioneers.

Tiffany Theophil was 2-0 in singles, and the doubles teams of Paige Lee and Dani Angelo, and Zoe Mauro and Vanessa Booth each went 2-0 for Silverado.

Selena Franco and Alma Hernandez were 2-1 in doubles for Canyon Springs.

Liberty 15, Valley 3 — At Valley, Parker Burk went 3-0 in singles as the Patriots downed the Vikings.

Bishop Gorman 18, Durango 0 — At Gorman, Ohara Riffel was 1-0 in singles as the Gaels blanked the Trailblazers.

Steffianna Sorrentino and Giovanna Chaparro were 1-0 in doubles for Gorman.

Arbor View 18, Desert Oasis 0 — At Arbor View, the Aggies rolled past the Diamondbacks.

Catherine Arizmendez, Devin Diesko and Kahlea Kimoto each went 3-0 in singles for Arbor View.

The doubles teams of Savannah Tynan and Ryanne Marquez, and Megan Wheatley and Skylar Tomchek each went 3-0 for the Aggies.

Green Valley 14, Rancho 4 — At Green Valley, the Gators topped the Rams.
