TENNIS: Doubles teams help Las Vegas boys edge Liberty

The doubles teams of Trey Chauncey and Kyle Monton, and Jonathan Sosa and Trevor Christiansen each went 3-0 on Monday as Las Vegas' boys tennis team nipped visiting Liberty, 10-9.

Benjamin Bowen was 2-1 in singles for the Wildcats, who won four of the six tiebreaker games after the teams split their 18 regulation sets.

Kevin Bloomquist was 3-0 singles for the Patriots.

Rancho 10, Durango 9 — At Durango, the Rams won four of the six tiebreaker games to pull out a victory over the Trailblazers.

Marc Viernes went 3-0 in singles, and the doubles team of Filip Bosnajak and Jovan Lubera was 3-0 for Durango.

Desert Pines 11, Boulder City 7 — At Boulder City, Adan Cano and Kim Halasan were 3-0 in doubles to lead the Jaguars by the Eagles.

Oscar Murillo was 2-1 in singles, and Alfredo Murillo and Edgar Diaz went 2-1 in doubles for Desert Pines.

Andre Pappas went 3-0 in singles to lead Boulder City. Garrett Leavitt and Tanner Montgomery were 2-1 in doubles for the Eagles.

Centennial 12, Bonanza 6 — At Centennial, Raul Saucedo went 2-0 in singles to lead the Bulldogs past the Bengals.

Thomas Felt and Kade Frischknecht went 2-0 in doubles for Centennial

Weston Clark was 2-0 in singles for Bonanza.

Arbor View 13, Legacy 5 — At Arbor View, Jesse Vogel and Lucas Cordova each went 3-0 in singles as the Aggies defeated the Longhorns.

Treven Clizbe and Brenden Wagner went 3-0 in doubles for Arbor View.

Desert Oasis 15, Cimarron-Memorial 3 — At Cimarron, the Diamondbacks swept the nine singles sets and routed the Spartans.

Caiden Jacob, Eliseo Wao-Udin and Alejandro Romero each went 3-0 in singles, and Ben Gajardo and Devin Heiman were 3-0 in doubles for Desert Oasis.

Noah Loeffler and Adrianne Lopez went 2-1 in doubles for Cimarron.

Chaparral 12, Del Sol 6 — At Chaparral, Brandon Scott was 2-0 in singles to lead the Cowboys by the Dragons.

Moapa Valley 13, Tech 5 — At Tech, the Pirates downed the Roadrunners.

Adelson School 12, Western 0 — At Darling Tennis Center, the Lions won by forfeit.

Valley 12, Canyon Springs 0 — At Valley, the Vikings won by forfeit.

Virgin Valley 12, Sunrise Mountain 0 — At Mesquite, the Bulldogs won by forfeit.

GIRLS

Cimarron-Memorial 11, Desert Oasis 7 — At Cimarron, Justine Felix and Makenna Osborne each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Spartans past the Diamondbacks.

Angelica McCammond was 2-0 in singles for Cimarron.

Kirsten Mauban and Jolene Stewart went 2-1 in doubles for Desert Oasis.

Bonanza 11, Centennial 7 — At Centennial, Carla LaRose went 3-0 in singles, and Abby Lords and Caroline Thuet were 3-0 in doubles to lead the Bengals past the Bulldogs.

Desert Pines 12, Boulder City 6 — At Boulder City, Ashley Palacios was 3-0 in singles to help the Jaguars top the Eagles.

Natalia Fullmer, Harley Fullmer and Natalie Bowman each went 2-1 in singles for Boulder City.

Virgin Valley 14, Sunrise Mountain 4 — At Mesquite, Kaylee Durance was 3-0 in singles, and the doubles team of Madison Fielding and Clarine Zeelenberg went 3-0 as the Bulldogs rolled past the Miners.

Valley 15, Canyon Springs 3 — At Valley, the Vikings swept the nine doubles sets in a win over the Pioneers.

Valley's doubles teams of Katie Streit and Alexandra Angelov, Claire Angel and Annelisa Laizure, and Deanine Dilworth and Sara Tegtmeyer each went 3-0.

Alexadra Jianu was 3-0 in singles for Valley.

Abigail Emperado went 2-1 in singles for Canyon Springs.

Arbor View 15, Legacy 3 — At Arbor View, the Aggies swept the singles sets and rolled past the Longhorns.

Catherine Arizmendez, Devin Diesko and Kahlea Kimoto each went 3-0 in singles, and the doubles team of Savannah Tynan and Ashly Yamat was 3-0 for Arbor View.

Rancho 15, Durango 3 — At Durango, the doubles teams of Destiny Trujeque and Maiyah Norton, and Katrina Hutchinson and Megan Sloan each went 2-0 as the Rams topped the Trailblazers.

Durango's Anne Jiang was 3-0 in singles.

Liberty 16, Las Vegas 2 — At Las Vegas, Marisa Olmos went 3-0 in singles as the Patriots routed the Wildcats.

Moapa Valley 16, Tech 2 — At Tech, Bodjel Gijzen was 3-0 in singles to lead the Pirates over the Roadrunners.

Chaparral 12, Del Sol 6 — At Chaparral, the Cowboys topped the Dragons.

Western 12, Adelson School 0 — At Darling Tennis Center, the Warriors won by forfeit.
