TENNIS: Evangelio, Lindsay help Crusader boys force tiebreaker, beat Spring Valley

The doubles team of Donovan Evangelio and Justin Lindsay won the final point of regulation to force a tiebreaker, and Faith Lutheran's boys tennis team posted a 10-9 win at Spring Valley on Thursday.

Evangelio and Lindsay and the team of Brandon Brighi and Matt Shuirman each went 2-1 for the Cruaders, who won five of the six tiebreaker games.

Jack Stevens and Max Blum each went 2-1 in singles for Faith Lutheran.

Chris Zimmerman was 3-0 in singles, and Vangeli Zimmerman and Dominic Morimando were 3-0 in doubles for the Grizzlies.

Centennial 10, Desert Oasis 8 — At Desert Oasis, Thomas Felt and Kade Frischknecht went 3-0 in doubles as the Bulldogs nipped the Diamondbacks.

Nathan Long and Tristan Valles finished 2-1 in doubles for Centennial.

Ben Gajardo was 3-0 in singles, and Eliseo Wao-Udin and Devin Heiman went 2-1 in doubles to lead Desert Oasis.

Clark 15, Sierra Vista 3 — At Sierra Vista, Michael Pasimio went 2-0 in singles as the Chargers routed the Mountain Lions.

Marcus Pasimio and Christian Ong went 2-0 in doubles for Clark.

Coronado 15, Basic 3 — At Basic, Ryland McDermott and Kyle Harris went 2-0 in doubles to lead the Cougars past the Wolves.

Bishop Gorman 15, Shadow Ridge 3 — At Gorman, Michael Connors and Grant Rogers went 3-0 in doubles as the Gaels downed the Mustangs.

Daniel Kinas was 2-0 in singles for Gorman.

Palo Verde 16, Durango 2 — At Durango, Dylan Levitt and John Watson each went 2-0 in singles to guide the Panthers by the Trailblazers.

Foothill 14, Rancho 4 — At Rancho, the Falcons downed the Rams.

Tanner Albright was 2-1 in singles for Rancho.

Green Valley 14, Eldorado 4 — At Green Valley, the Gators topped the Sundevils.

The Meadows 12, Cheyenne 0 — At Cheyenne, the Mustangs won by forfeit.

Mojave 12, Western 0 — At Western, the Rattlers won by forfeit.

GIRLS

Foothill 12, Rancho 6 — At Rancho, Alyssa Miele went 3-0 in singles, and Emily Campbell and Hannah Bunker were 3-0 in doubles as the Falcons topped the Rams.

Rancho's Britteney Domingo was 2-1 in singles.

Mojave 13, Western 5 — At Western, Eva Sampson went 3-0 in singles to lead the Rattlers past the Warriors.

Sharrah Kenyon and Poleth Rodriguez were 2-0 in doubles for Mojave.

Clark 14, Sierra Vista 4 — At Sierra Vista, Elissa Gray and Michelle Zhu went 2-0 in doubles to lead the Chargers past the Mountain Lions.

Andrada Stancia went 3-0 in singles for Sierra Vista.

Coronado 15, Basic 3 — At Basic, Camille Solla went 3-0 in singles as the Cougars routed the Wolves.

Hannah Grossman went 2-0 in singles for Coronado.

Centennial 15, Desert Oasis 3 — At Desert Oasis, Lovely Warner-McRoy was 3-0 in singles as the Bulldogs beat the Diamondbacks.

Madison Dobbs and Macie Stratton went 2-0 in doubles for Centennial.

Jolene Stewart and Kirsten Mauban finished 2-1 in doubles for Desert Oasis.

Faith Lutheran 18, Spring Valley 0 — At Spring Valley, Madison Foley and Paige Erlanger each went 2-0 in singles as the Crusaders blanked the Grizzlies.

Bishop Gorman 18, Shadow Ridge 0 — At Gorman, Emma Figueredo and Olivia Maalouf each went 2-0 in singles as the Gaels blanked the Mustangs.

The doubles teams of Angelique Friedrich and Steffianna Sorrentino, and Marci Adolfo and Drew Thompson each went 2-0 for Gorman.

Green Valley 14, Eldorado 4 — At Green Valley, the Gators topped the Sundevils.

The Meadows 17, Cheyenne 1 — At Cheyenne, the Mustangs routed the Desert Shields.
