Weather plays havoc on tennis schedule, postpones 13 matches

Rain washed out all of Tuesday’s Southern Nevada tennis schedule, forcing 13 boys and girls matches to be postponed.

Following is a list of the matches and the makeup dates that have been set.

Arbor View at Sierra Vista, ppd., makeup date to be determined

Spring Valley at Palo Verde, ppd. to Sept. 18 (tentative)

Durango at Shadow Ridge, ppd., makeup date to be determined

Las Vegas at Valley, ppd. to Wednesday

Rancho at Silverado, ppd. to Wednesday

Canyon Springs at Green Valley, ppd. to Friday

Coronado at Liberty, ppd. to Sept. 27

Foothill at Basic, ppd. to Sept.17

Del Sol at Eldorado, ppd. to Sept. 21

The Meadows at Faith Lutheran, ppd. to Sept. 18 (tentative)

Cheyenne at Clark, ppd., makeup date to be determined

Tech at Boulder City, ppd. to Sept. 28

Coronado, Palo Verde celebrate 5A golf, tennis titles

Coronado set a state record with its score of 11-under at the Class 5A girls golf state championship. In tennis, Palo Verde swept the boys and girls 5A championships.
