2017 record: 17-3 (10-0 3A Sunrise/first)

Returning letter winners: Twelve

Top athletes: Olivia Mikkelson (Jr.), Tegan Pappas (Jr.), Olivia Goodfellow (Sr.), Natalie Bowman (Jr.), Katelyn Fox (Sr.)

Outlook: Last year’s Class 3A state runners-up return 12 letter winners, including state singles champion Mikkelson.

“The team is large with 18 players,” Jami Pappas said. “I have 12 returning athletes and have six incoming women, some of which are competition-level tennis players, so we are looking forward to a great year and some very good competition.”

The Meadows’ Sophia Yang claimed her fourth consecutive state title in the Class 4A girls singles final Saturday. Two Adelson School players also defended their titles.
