Katie Barker went 3-0 in singles on Monday to lead Silverado’s girls tennis team to a 12-6 home victory over Valley to claim the Northeast League’s final playoff berth.
Ari Monturio and Megan Lopez went 3-0 in doubles for the Skyhawks, who play at Southeast League champion Coronado at 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Sunrise Region quarterfinals.
The Meadows’ Sophia Yang claimed her fourth consecutive state title in the Class 4A girls singles final Saturday. Two Adelson School players also defended their titles.
