GIRLS TENNIS: Bengals roll to win over Longhorns

Emma Nelson went 2-0 in singles Tuesday to help Bonanza’s girls tennis team to a 15-3 win at Legacy.

The Bengals’ doubles teams of Kim Pace and Kayla Sylvester, Mia Mallette and Shally Matlovic, and Alexis Groom and Phoebe Nelson each went 2-0.

The Longhorns’ Mary Montgomery and Raizel Yankaway were 2-1 in doubles.

Valley 10, Silverado 8 — At Valley, Brooke Harding went 3-0 in singles as the Vikings edged the Skyhawks in the completion of a match that was suspended on Sept. 3.

The doubles teams of Daisy Mejia-Ramirez and Megan Jones, and Brooke Arita-Zamora and Carolina Pena-Navarro both went 3-0 for Valley.

Criszelle Castro and Megan Lopez went 2-1 in singles for Silverado.

Centennial 13, Cimarron-Memorial 5 — At Centennial, the doubles teams of McKay Novak and Savannah Sgro, and Leeza Brown and Agnes Enkhtamir each went 3-0 to help the Bulldogs down the Spartans.

Faith Lutheran 17, Clark 1 — At Clark, Rachel Taber and Chandler Young went 3-0 in doubles, and Madison Foley was 2-0 in singles as the Crusaders routed the Chargers.

Abbey Escala won her only singles set for Clark.

Foothill 11, Las Vegas 7 — At Las Vegas, the Falcons downed the Wildcats.

Skye Brower and Jocelyn Leyva went 2-1 in doubles, and Geovanna Hilton finished 2-1 in singles to lead Las Vegas.

Virgin Valley 13, Moapa Valley 5 — At Mesquite, Kaycee Anderson and Sara Anderson each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Bulldogs past the Pirates.

Jessica Gomez and Natilyn Faught went 3-0 in doubles to help Virgin Valley.

Boulder City 16, Chaparral 2 — At Boulder City, Melissa O’Berto and Arianne Hess each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Eagles by the Cowboys.

Jinger Siu was 1-1 in singles for Chaparral.

Bishop Gorman 15, Desert Oasis 3 — At Gorman, Marisol Arvilla and Monika Ryan each went 2-0 in singles to help the Gaels defeat the Diamondbacks.

Desert Pines 13, Sunrise Mountain 2 — At Sunrise Mountain, the Jaguars downed the Miners in a match that was halted in the third round because of darkness.

Adelson School 12, Western 0 — At Adelson, the Lions won by forfeit.

The Meadows 12, Cheyenne 0 — At The Meadows, the Mustangs won by forfeit.
