GIRLS TENNIS: Durango edges Desert Oasis behind A.J. Mitchell, Mariamawit Moges

The doubles team of A.J. Mitchell and Mariamawit Moges went 3-0 on Tuesday as Durango’s girls tennis team edged host Desert Oasis, 10-8.

Stephanie Parlade was 2-1 in singles to lead Desert Oasis.

Desert Pines 10, Cimarron-Memorial 8 — At Desert Pines, Cassandra Bueno went 3-0 in singles as the Jaguars edged the Spartans.

Yazaret Arredondo and Shelly Alvarado went 3-0 in doubles for Desert Pines.

Eldorado 11, Las Vegas 7 — At Eldorado, Kristie Thomas was 2-1 in singles, and all three Sundevils doubles teams finished 3-0 as they edged the Wildcats.

Janathea Esporas was 3-0 in singles for Las Vegas.

Faith Lutheran 12, The Meadows 6 — At Darling Tennis Center, the doubles teams of Dina Ciulla and Hannah Lundgaard, and Summer Stadtlander and Madison Foley each went 3-0 as the Crusaders defeated the Mustangs.

Kennedy Barr went 3-0 in singles for Faith Lutheran.

Abbigail Klein and Anuja Daulat each went 2-1 in singles for The Meadows.

Valley 13, Rancho 5 — At Valley, Annelisa Laizure and Alexandra Jianu each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Vikings by the Rams.

The doubles teams of Claire Angel and Alexandra Angelov, and Deanine Dilworth and Sara Tegtmeyer each finished 3-0 for Valley.

Boulder City 13, Virgin Valley 5 — At Mesquite, Tegan Pappas was 3-0 in singles to lead the Eagles by the Bulldogs.

Clark 16, Bonanza 2 — At Clark, Audrey Boch-Collins was 2-0 in singles as the Chargers downed the Bengals.

Shalini Jayaweera and Michelle Zhu went 2-0 in doubles for Bonanza.

Bishop Gorman 16, Sierra Vista 2 — At Gorman, the Gaels rolled past the Mountain Lions.

The doubles teams of Olivia Maalouf and Karissa Matthews, and Giovanna Chaparro and Kaylin Honan each went 2-0 for Gorman.

Moapa Valley 13, Chaparral 5 — At Chaparral, the Pirates defeated the Cowboys.

Tech 12, Del Sol 0 — At Del Sol, the Roadrunners won by forfeit.
