GIRLS TENNIS: Mountain Lions edge Trailblazers in tiebreaker

Raquel Claudio and Ana Delgado went 3-0 in doubles Thursday to help Sierra Vista’s girls tennis team nip host Durango, 10-9.

The teams split their 18 regulation sets before the Mountain Lions won four of the six tiebreaker games.

Christina Sanders was 3-0 in singles to lead the Trailblazers.

Foothill 10, Basic 8 — At Basic, the Falcons had three doubles teams each finish 2-1 to edge the Wolves.

The doubles pairs of Hannah Bunker and Vanessa Parrales, Alyssa Miele and Madison Topham, and Hannah Stevens and Rachael Wojtkowiak went 2-1 for Foothill.

Paige Blake was 3-0 in singles for Basic.

The Meadows 10, Faith Lutheran 8 — At The Meadows, Sonia Vohra and Paige Malik won the decisive set in doubles to lift the Mustangs by the Crusaders in a showdown for first place in the Sunset League.

Anjali Daulat, Abbhi Klein and Anuja Daulat each went 2-1 in singles for The Meadows, which finished 12-0 in league play, two games ahead of Faith Lutheran.

Samantha Gondy and Ava Frazier were 2-1 in doubles for the Mustangs.

Madison Foley was 3-0 in singles for the Crusaders. Faith Lutheran’s doubles teams of Lauren Wright and Talia Graf, and Rachel Taber and Chandler Young both went 2-1.

Shadow Ridge 11, Spring Valley 7 — At Spring Valley, Racquel Conigliaro was 2-1 in singles to lead the Mustangs past the Grizzlies.

Shea Sanchez and Guadalupe Gomez each went 2-1 in singles, and Sarah Estenson and Saige Weyer finished 2-1 in doubles for Spring Valley.

Silverado 12, Rancho 6 — At Silverado, Criszelle Castro and Megan Lopez each went 3-0 in singles as the Skyhawks topped the Rams.

Jennifer Deng and Emily Tran were 3-0 in doubles for Rancho.

Eldorado 12, Del Sol 6 — At Eldorado, Cheyenne Delicate and Dora Carrillo each went 3-0 in singles to lead the Sundevils past the Dragons.

Bermary Perez and Kendra Dennis were 3-0 in doubles for Eldorado.

Valley 12, Las Vegas 6 — At Valley, Brooke Harding was 3-0 in singles to lift the Vikings by the Wildcats.

Valley’s doubles teams of Olivia Jensen and Diondra Dilworth, and Megan Jones and Daisy Mejia-Ramirez each went 3-0.

Green Valley 14, Canyon Springs 4 — At Green Valley, Erica Shelton was 2-0 in singles to help the Gators beat the Pioneers.

Sophie Arrowsmith and Tasha Dewitt were 2-0 in doubles for Green Valley.

Coronado 11, Liberty 7 — At Liberty, Paris Reese was 3-0 in singles to lead the Cougars past the Patriots.

Palo Verde 16, Arbor View 2 — At Arbor View, Annie Walker and Bronte Rath each went 2-0 in singles to lead the Panthers past the Aggies.

Palo Verde’s doubles team of Abby Till and Alissa Till also went 2-0.

Adelson School 12, Cheyenne 6 — At Adelson School, the Lions topped the Desert Shields.
